A very friendly, funny, and mellow group of employees. Someone always makes sure I’m taken care of as soon as I walk in the door. The haircut is better than one could conceive. the small details are the reason why Khan makes my dreams come true. I wish I’d been getting my haircut at sugar years ago. I receive at least 10 compliments everyday I’m at work. Its obvious that Sugar takes much pride in their work and love what they do.

First time at this salon and I love it! Khanh did an amazing job! I have thin frail hair and he made my hair look full and soft again. He was extremely aware of my needs and met them all! Thanks Khanh!

Love this salon! I always feel welcome and love the hip vibe the owners have created in this 4 chair salon. My stylist is Tobias, the owner. I went to see him off of referrals from several friends. My hair is high maintenance! I’m a platinum blonde, and my hair was in bad condition when I initially made my appointment with Tobias. My hair is now healthy, blonde and beautiful. I get compliments and requests for the name of my stylist from friends, clients and strangers even! I have refer them all to Sugar to see Tobias and they all rave about him too! I won’t trust my locks with anyone else!

I’ve been going to Mindy for a few years now… and she is amazing! She is the only hair stylist who got my hair to be the right color — it was always too light before. She is super talented — she makes recommendations when I want to try something new, and listens to my feedback if I like it or not, and makes changes at the next appointment if needed to make sure I’m happy with my hair. She is also a really down-​to-​earth person. The studio overall has a warm atmosphere — no attitudes here, just friendly, real people. They offer tea, which is a nice touch. They are also really good about appointments, and work to find the best time to fit my schedule. Love this place!

I just got my hair fully highlighted, cut, and styled by khanh! It was amazing. He did an amazing job and I’m so glad I found my hair spot in sacramento. Must give it a try because you will not be disappointed!

Holy mayo… I have been getting my hair cut at super cuts too long! It’s amazing when you’ve been settling for mediocre service for so long and actually treat yourself to good services… There’s a little extra pep in the step! I called and talked to Erica who could squeeze me in with Mindy before my 1 year anniversary date with the boyfriend. Mindy is amazing and hilarious and incredibly talented. We talked about Alabama Barbie dolls, raging fear of frogs, and how some things are just not ok. I had only had my hair done professionally once and years after that experience, it’s wonderful that someone finally gets me– and can make my hair look incredibly gorgeous. Thank you, sugar!!! Thank you Mindy! I’ll see you in a month!
Btw– people, don’t be chinzie tippers! It’s their job to make you look good so toss these guys a very well deserved thank you in the form of at least a Jefferson!

My hair is 61 years old and doesn’t look a day over 45. Tobias keeps my color rocking. We cover the gray with blond highlights. I would not have predicted that I would take to this hair color so easily. My natural color was a medium brown, but this works. We have worked with both long and short styles. Currently, it’s short with just a kick of punkyness to it. People come up to me asking «Where did you get your hair cut?»
The most important thing for me though is I DON’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING SPECIAL TO IT. Most days I comb it with my fingers. Let me tell you, after years of curling irons and blow dryers I feel free!

yay! as a licensed cosmetologist i have two routes. give up complete control or give step by step instructions. i chose the first while meeting tobias at Sugar and i am so glad i did. his 16 years of experience (i know he doesnt look old enough) sure does do a lady good. a fun cut with a vibe that suites me. i couldnt be happier. a positive guy with a great looking salon. and they took me last minute before a date. Tobias has done my hair several times now and I am extremely happy with the results. I had damaged hair and wanted to grow it out. Those two descriptions usually don’t go together. After three visits my hair feels ridiculously healthy and my hair is the longest it’s ever been in my life. This is the most loyal I have been to a hair stylist in a long time.

I have been going to Tobias (the owner of Sugar) for almost 7 years, and he is EXCELLENT– I get both cut and color and he never disappoints! He always manages to make my hair look incredible despite the fact that my hair is really thin and does not like to cooperate. I’ve never seen anyone come out of Sugar looking anything less than fabulous. It’s a really relaxing atmosphere– the space is relatively small which cuts down on the noise and chaos you get in a lot of salons. Also, Erika who runs the salon is really sweet and friendly and always makes me feel welcome.
