Delicious donuts. Fluffy and light. Later at night you must walk up to the side window to get your donuts, but the people there are very friendly. You must try this place.

So great. Call his voicemail and the dude gives you his cell number for a donut shop! Why would anyone need that? Anyway. Haven’t tried his donuts yet. But I am excited to try them because his customer service and personality seems amazing.

Run of the mill donuts that are actually on the greasy side even in the realm of fried dough. The lady behind the counter was very nice though and gave me a few donut holes on the house. Good for late night cravings, just be careful of the less-than-safe area.

Honestly some delicious donuts, i love this place! The staff isnt the nicest, but theyve never been rude either, the donuts are always great, too bad they don’t have enough variety at night, but it’s ok and understandable since theyre open 24 hours. The donuts are always delicious any time though, morning, day, afternoon and night. Way better than Krispy Kream or what ever its called.

Come in the morning because the selection really dies down at night. I just came at 9PM on a saturday but they still had a small but yummy selection. My sister and I got four donuts altogether to equal $ 3.20! What a good deal. The donuts available to us we the old fashioned cake donuts which we like a lot. We got regular coconut, chocolate coconut and then 2 plains. They were really good and we ate them in the car before getting home. Not too sweet, good savory donut. Like I said, probably better selection and freshness in the AM but that’s on us for coming at night. Nonetheless it was tasty and I’ll be returning for mornings to come.

We searched for this place for 10 minutes and could not find their store. Then we called and the phone number was not set up so it hung up on us. So much for that…

Had time to kill in Sac-town before heading to Tahoe and had mad cravings for a good ol’ fashioned donut. Went out of the way to get to Superior Donuts since it was one of the few that were open late that Friday night. Not sure what I was thinking but I imagined a cleaner, more modern joint. Pulled up to this little rickety shop in a poorly lit parking lot. No biggie; I’ll let the donuts speak for themselves. They didn’t really speak. It was more of a whisper. They weren’t horrible, and maybe if I were to come here when they were fresh, I’d have a more enjoyable experience. The dough in the middle was soft but the outside and frosting wasn’t very fresh. I’d eat again if you threw the donut in my face but I won’t go out of my way to come back.

The donuts here always taste fresher than any other donut shops I go to, which is sadly way more than most. The place is usually moderately busy but you get greeted warmly and served within minutes if not seconds. They also have a drive thru/walk up window, which is fantastic. My only problem is that they are cash only. I understand that donuts are a quick in-and-out type thing, but c’mon. It’s the 21st century and people carry less and less cash every day. I’ve found myself having to stop at the ATM just to get cash to stop here on the way to work. Pretty inconvenient. But assuming you are bringing cash, you’ll get more quality and bang from your buck here than any other donut shop nearby.

Not a bad place to rush to when every other bakery in town has closed down passed its business hours and Ur left with only 15 minutes of rushing-to-get-to-there time in order to satisfying Ur partner’s sweet-tooth. For more valuable pricing, order it by the dozen or half-dozen. 2 suger, 2 glazed, and 2 chocolate donuts with milk and Ur hungry tummy will be somewhat satisfied… minus one star BC they ran out of the regular glazed that my partner had asked for but I’m still giving them that star because I have yet to try out their mini donut holes with the custard filling. I said, Yee Haw! :P

I love a good fritter. This place has them. I do have to mention that the neighborhood is a little bit on the questionable side(after all, would you expect nothing less from a place on Franklin Blvd). I got out of my car and was immediately hit up by a homeless person who got mad when I declined to hand them anything. I got hit up again after I got my donuts too. This isn’t the donut places fault and doesn’t affect my review of them, but just be aware of the fact this type thing is going on around there. Oh and while the donut place is open 24hrs a day, that doesn’t mean you can go inside and sit down and eat them. They have a window you can order from and take away after hours. So don’t head there thinking at 1am you’ll be able to hang out and enjoy them, you won’t.

I love that this place is open in the wee hours of the night, let alone all hours of the day AND night. It’s the best for that late night run to get something unhealthy, and it definitely is that! The donuts are good. Nothing outstanding… but the plus side is IT’S OPEN24⁄7!

Very standard. Nothing to scream about here, except that it’s located where not a whole lot donut options are. They have the same, standard selection, and a really sweet family operation(I think the younger daughter helped me out last time). The fritter(my standard bearer) was a little on the soggy side, though I’m not sure if it was from being out for longer than if I’d come earlier or if it was just soggier. There are places to sit, though I’m not sure you’d want to. this isn’t the best side of town to hang out, and the coffee was bleh! It is open 24 hours — yay! So for that, 3 stars. And at least parking is easy. In case I didn’t get enough sugar and calories in the 12 hours prior.

Another Franklin Blvd gem and one of the better doughnut spots in town. Why am I so keen on Superior Donuts? 1. Nice helpful staff. 2. It’s open 24 hours. 3. Wide selection 4. In the mornings you can also buy tamales from a car in the parking lot. 5. It’s a darn good donut.

I love donuts, ask them to fill a maple bar with cream, it’s great. They are always very nice and helpful.

I’m currently compiling a list. My personal donut list. Rolling around on two wheels has never made our adventures more fun. Sure, we get a lot of exercise and whatever I eat for the rest of the day cross cancels the calories burnt all more morning. But what I do enjoy, are the little nooks and crannies housing little gems known to some as the savior of working men. Apparently, this use to be an old Winchell’s, as so indicated by the fading yellow and brown plastic swinging furniture inside and old donut posters hanging off the walls. The rest, however, has gone local. A group of local laborers sat, facing the windows, speaking Spanish, over cups of coffee and donuts. I purchased a cake donut with vanilla glaze and rainbow sprinkles. My brother had his usual apple fritter, which I found slightly oil ridden. We also ordered coffee each, my bill settling itself under $ 2. There is something pleasantly calming about munching on a donut with the foreign chatter continued to grow and wrap around us. I prefer it anyways. It makes for an enhanced morning. Donuts galore. Donut holes. Fruit filled donuts. Bear claws. Cinnamon puffs. Cake donuts. Old Fashioned. Buttermilk. You name it, they have it here. On top of the list, they also have an acceptable toilet on premise. I would advise utilizing the paper towels when opening the doors and operating the levers. Along the walls are handmade signs notifying the public that alcoholic beverages are not allowed, especially a certain type of wine and Bud. My brother made fun of me since I had never ever heard of T Bird Wine. What the hell is T Bird Wine? And who the hell brings liquor into a donut shop? Apparently, I still have a lot to learn.

This donut place is open 24 hours; how exciting! I’m not a huge donut eater but I do like one once in a while or late night after a few drinks. I love donut holes and got a dozen. Also they fill their custard donuts right in front of you. So much yummy custard fresh to order. No soggy donuts! Just a donut shop but it is open late.
