I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August. After receiving poor treatment(including misdiagnosis of the stage of my cancer) through Dignity Health/Mercy Cancer Center I switched to Sutter after the misdiagnosis was confirmed through them. My oncologist, Dr. Williams, is everything my previous oncologist wasn’t: empathetic, friendly, proactive, knowledgeable, and up to speed on the latest medical research. The nurse that works with her, Heidi, is also very nice and helpful. The nurses that work in the infusion center are also great. Every time I go in for chemo or lab work I’m treated with compassion. I’m always confident that I’m in good hands at Sutter Cancer Center.

Very poor care by the oncologist and the infusion center is usually disorganized and often rude to my family member who is a senior. His oncologist was arrogant, inattentive, lacked basic knowledge, and refused to coordinate his care with his other physicians who are working hard to help him recover from the treatments. Also unimpressed with the surgeon who wanted to make more cash operating a second time, when it was unnecessary and very successfully treated with less invasive methods. They also did not want to refer him to outside facilities, even though the other facilities have much better treatments, clinical trials, and outcomes for his type of cancer. We saw a lack of compassion and professionalism with Sutter that was appalling. Don’t fall for their crappy new commercials that feign a relationship with patients. They don’t give a rip.

I go to the Infusion Clinic on the 2nd floor. The nurses are so wonderful.
