Tang Robert MD

i have been a patient of Dr. Tang’s for many years. He is competent, compassionate, and very thorough. As a health care professional I can recommend him highly!

I relocated from So Calif 7 years ago and had not looked for a doctor here in Sacramento as I’m always afraid I’ll pick the wrong one for me. After losing a job and having only a month left of insurance, I knew I had to at least get a physical since it had been 7 years.
I searched some doctors listed on my medical plan and then looked for reviews on them. Some were okay (and I know that reviews do not mean a doctor is or isn’t competent) but some showed responses that just fell right for me — Dr. Tang was one of those.
The call-​in center was extremely helpful and they worked with me to get me in quite quickly due to the small window of time I had while I still had medical coverage paid for me.
He was wonderful and I felt so relieved to find someone. Personable, concerned, listened, apologized for having to spend some time inputting on the computer that many doctor’s in a hospital medical group have these days — like who thinks of expressing what might be perceived as impersonal. He was extremely thorough and gave me recommendations without berating me for things like my weight. I’m so glad to have found him!
His staff, from the reception area to his assistant, were professional AND warm. Additionally, the building he is in houses the lab and other entities so it was nice to be able to do everything in the same place. Thanks Sutter Medical Group.

If you want an excellent diagnostician, a physician who is like a detective determined to figure out what’s ailing you even when your symptoms are vague, he’s your man. He’s my husband’s doctor now. My best friend loves him, too, and she has been more wiling to seek medical treatment since choosing him as her PCP. We are both health care professionals who are completely confident entrusting our own health and well-​being to Dr. Tang. Additionally, he has an efficient, friendly, responsive staff.
