Do not let the size fool you. This place is absolutely awesome. They define the term «customer service».
I have been to all of the gun stores in the Sac area. I had my favorites and found Calaboose by a stroke of luck. Let’s just say I stopped going anywhere else and I have become a loyal Calaboose customer. I have taken friends and family and they all agree Calaboose is a great place.
They have a great inventory, though it might not be the biggest, they have a awesome selection.
What really makes Calaboose shine is Steve. He is great. At most other gun stores I feel rushed or that I am asking to many questions. Steve always makes customers feel welcome and he goes out of his way to make sure all questions are answered fully. He never makes you feel rushed during any part of your transaction. He will go out of his way to make sure you have a great shopping experience.
If you are in the market, make sure to stop by here. If you do you probably won’t end up going anywhere else.
Another great offering is 60 day layaway with 20% down. Try to find that anywhere else.

This shop is the definition of a hole-​in-​the-​wall, but what a a great shop. Looked high and low for a particular pistol… locally and mail-​order. Every shop was either out of stock or asking a ridiculous price. Found it here at a reasonable price. The guy (I think his name is Steve), was very accommodating and knowledgeable. I will keep this shop in mind next time I’m looking to purchase.

The staff at The Calaboose II are customer-​focused and very accommodating. They are communicative with their clients and always willing to help. I’ve dealt with them purchasing and doing warranty repairs and they’ve been nothing short of awesome to do business with. From what I can tell, they are a family-​owned and operated business and this mindset shows in how they treat the shooting sports community. I will be returning here for future purchases and will be bringing in friends who are interested in the shooting sports as well! Highly recommended.
