The Food Junction

This place is awesome!!! I frequent this place for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast sandwich is off the hook, the bacon is thick and plentiful, fresh fried egg, sausage patty, and cheese. It’s a must try. The burgers are the BOMB as well, lots of flavor, hot and juicy!!! As for efficiency, I never have to wait for more than 5 minutes for my order. I’m a FedEx courier and cannot afford to waste time waiting for my food, I recommend this place to plenty of people and everyone of them love it. By the way, the prices are very reasonable. Give it a try!!!

Came here and orders hot wings, which was nothing like a hot wing. Hot wing is supposed to have some sort of sauce on there but the hot wings here is plain, nothing but a fried chicken wing. I asked the owner if the hot wing is supposed to have sauce and she told me no, that’s how a hot wing is. She didn’t even care, all she said was «we can’t take it back, you can take it home with you». I would give this place no stars if I could.

First off, ignore all of the negative comments about this place. This is one of my «go to» joints when I am at work. The food is VERY good and the service is amazing, considering what they are working with. The lady who owns the place is probably the hardest worker I have ever seen. I have never in my life seen someone who could take orders, cook orders, and serve orders, ALL AT THE SAME TIME. She deserves an award.
If you want some good home cooking, give this place a try. I think it is a nice little hidden gem.

First time I came here I thought the food was good even though the service was slow but the owners were nice… came back again a few months later food was blah and greasy and the owner lady was a straight up BITCH after I kindly told her she forgot to put the cheese in my cheese burger. She threw a nasty attitude towards me so I told her nevermind. Then when someone walked in they asked her how day was going she said, «well you know the headaches of owning a restaurant!» Out loud as if she directed it towards me and my family. Yes I blasted you, you may be nice to others but what the hell was up your ass that day? Over cheese really?

I have driven past this little gem for several years now and never stopped to try it. Today, I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. The owners who work there were friendly and helpful. The male owner was so worried because I received my burger with thousand island dressings on it after I had requested no dressing that he kept wanting to remake it. It was not a big deal so I told I was good and not to worry. He was running around making sure every one was happy.
I do not typically eat burgers but I have to admit this one was very yummy! It was cooked great and was juicy and hot. My lunch partner had the pastrami sandwich and he said it was seasoned really well and one of the best he had ever had.
I think I have found my new favorite lunch spot.

Truly in love with this place. I work not to far from this awesome joint & found this place on help for lunch. Once walking in you see the whole place filled with collage picture of happy past customer maybe regulars. Very homie feel to the place, instantly made me feel comfortable. There was one one lady working but she was very resourceful & quick. I ordered a tuna melt on wheat w/​a side of fries. Best tuna melt I ever had better than moms. Haha. All for $ 6.00 & something cents. Haha. It was just so good, enjoyed every bite. Definitely coming back.

This place is great. Very home old school feel. The lady here is great and even though she is running around crazy she still smiles and remembers who you are.
The burgers are the best here. If you want a food coma, then for the price it’s very worth it. I get a half pounder and add thousand island. Go back to work and sleep lol.

Just tried this place for the first time. Little hole in the wall place with great food and very reasonable prices. Burger was really good, great flavor, bun seems almost home made, and had a good amount of lettuce, tomato, pickle and onions. My to go order was ready quickly and the lady (owner?) at the register was very nice. There’s a decent about of seating both inside & outside. They also have daily specials, so be sure to check them out. I’ll definitely try their breakfast next time I go.

I went here for lunch for the first time this afternoon and I was very impressed! I got the ¼lb burger with fries and it was DELICIOUS!!! I ate very bite… the two reasons i did not give it 5 stars are that the floor was pretty dirty and looked like it hadn’t been swept in a long time and some of the prices were pretty high. as far as service and food it was excellent. I will definitely be back!!!

I like food junction. I have been eating there a long time. Nobby is such a sweetheart. Sometimes she gets a little overwhelmed running the whole place on her own and food tends to roll out a little slow. Also sometimes she will give you something slightly different then what you ordered but that adds to the charm of the place. Its a very small greasy spoon dive that workers go to grab a meal and some blue collar workers go to grab a beer. If you are expecting the glamorous large restaurant experience please travel elsewhere. You can’t expect perfection here, but the food is always good and the atmosphere too. The owner is a sweetheart and absolute angel. I highly recommend the breakfast special, for the omelette you can never go wrong. The Polish sandwich combo is great. I always hear people ordering double cheeseburgers, but no matter what time of day you come there if she’s open you can get a killer breakfast special for $ 6.99

Had breakfast there today. Overall, the place was clean, although the menus were sticky and not clean. We ordered coffee and it was brewed very weak and had no flavor. I couldn’t drink it. There was an older man who waited on us and he was accommodating and attentive, but food came out slow and very far apart. Many of us were done with out meals before the last person was served. A few of us ordered biscuits and gravy and all agreed it had no flavor. There was not any sausage in it and it didn’t have a meat base flavor; it tasted like milk and flour w salt and pepper. None of us ate our biscuits and gravy. The biscuits underneath the gravy were fluffy and seemed like they were good, but the gravy ruined it. Had bacon which was tasty, and hash browns which were fine. Had scrambled eggs which were fresh cracked (glad they didn’t come out if a carton). Not the absolute worst restaurant out there, but I would not suggest it to anyone or ever go back. Two stars.

Food Junction has a blue collar/​neighborhood vibe. The owner is very sweet. I come here for breakfast and do my estimates. It’s a basic breakfast and lunch place don’t come here if you are used to the fox and goose

Not bad. Service was quick and friendly. Burger was decent. Nothing that blew me away, though. Fries were your typical frozen fries from Costco. They serve beer so that’s a plus. The dive atmosphere is a +

I’ve come here a few times and the food is always good. There are few tables because it is a small place. (it has never been crowded every time I went) The tv is always on and they have outdoor patio seating. The parking lot is a bit small as well. Today I had the cornbeef hash. It comes with eggs, hash browns and toast. My friend had the Philly cheese steak with onion rings. The hash browns should have been cooked a little longer. It had no crispy parts. (next time I will request this to the waitress). My friend had no problems with the meal. we will be back! Everything was clean and the food came out fast. Thanks Nobby!

I always call my order in because I only have 30 minutes for lunch. When I show up to pick up my food it is always ready to go and I only work 3 minutes away. The owner works really hard and is extremely nice. Food is pretty good too.

Had breakfast here and was unimpressed with the speed, quality, and taste. Seemed a little too greasy, granted breakfast meat and eggs can be especially if it’s sort of fast food or sort of diner/​dive in nature, though I it doesn’t have the outside or inside appeal of a diner or dive.

Stopped here for breakfast. Driven past it for 7 years and I wasn’t impressed by the looks. However, I like the adage about book covers and looking for content before making a judgment.

I had the breakfast special, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 pancakes, and hash browns and a coffee. All total with tax and tip $ 11.00 +/​-​a few coins. Now I do not mind paying good money for good food, but…
Now, if you like this place, great, the lady who runs it was a nice person.
The coffee tasted weak, but most places that get commercial packaged coffee, not unexpected. Those little bags don’t give you much coffee to do more than add some color. I like my coffee, it has to be good, as it causes heartburn, so I want my after coffee pain, to be proceeded with delicious coffee. Here. not so much.
The pancake, it was undercooked, floury, and dense. (Now, you can ask, what do you know about cooking? Well, I have a culinary degree and worked for an outstanding caterer.) The golden brown color, I think, a pancake should have was not there, it was very palish brown, no texture, the butter had chips of something in it, could have been the edges of the pancake. Tasted like semi-​cooked flour cake. Could have been on the fire a bit longer. It’s a cake, it is supposed to be light, fluffy, and tasty.
The bacon was cooked perfectly, for me, crisp, not soggy looking (for lack of better phrasing), excellent bacon. the sausage was cooked thoroughly. It was, however, not something to write home about.
The eggs were done well, I asked for over medium and I got over medium. The edges were not crisped/​over-​cooked, but could have been warmer, as I think it got chilled in the window I think.
THE HASH BROWNS, undercooked, semi-​raw, tasteless, potato thingys and grease. I do believe the grill was a bit cool in the process, or something. Give me texture of crispy, golden brown potatoes, with a warm, cooked interior that says, yum. to the cook’s credit, hash browns can be a pain to get right. Like french fries in a restaurant, its hit or miss with the preparedness of what I like.
For where the location is and the size of the place, it is OK. The regulars seem to like it and that is what counts. I have not tried lunch, so this review is ½ of what it should be. A breakfast star? For myself, no.

On our way home from running errands, my boyfriend and I drove past Food Junction and I told him we should try it one day. My reasoning was that it looked like a hole-​in-​the-​wall type place that might serve amazing food! The only thing was that it was always so empty so I wanted to settle my decision with the help of Unilocal!
However, I was sad to see that there were no reviews for Food Junction on here. So I decided I would have to take one for the team and try it for myself!
As for now, 3 stars. But I’ll have to update this review later because the boyfriend says I spend more time on Unilocal than with him. and he just arrived. =P
