The Riverwalk Cafe

Drove all way from Antioch with out of town guest to go to this r restaurant and it was nothing like advertised! On the website it showed like it was on a river and had umbrellas… like river walk restaurants is what it looked like… very inviting. Appealing. Fun atmosphere. The real deal was a small cafeteria in a basement!!! How disappointing! Didn’t even bother eating there! We were so upset! Don’t waste your time! False advertising!!!

Great place to eat! Lots of variety and the food is always fresh and tasty! The owner will is such a cool guy and their workers are very friendly! Would def recommend this place if your in the Sacramento area!

I am so disappointed. I was super excited to find a new place, but I won’t be returning. I ordered the phillycheese sandwich. They were out of beef so I got the chicken. I honestly don’t when they last cleaned thier grill but I am pretty sure there shouldn’t be little black burnt bits in my sandwich. Also the fries seemed to be DEEP fried. I threw the meal away, I would rather be out $ 8 than sick later. The only positive thing is the cook had a great personality.

Very good food. Best hollandaise sauce I’ve ever had. Excellent service. It is not actually on the edge of the river, but well within walking distance. Ambience is nice too with plenty of seating both indoors and out. Well worth the drive and we live two hours away.

You would never know it was there unless someone told you, you worked in the building or one in the same parking lot.
Very convenient option for those working nearby, just go around back of the building and it’s in the basement. Plenty of tables and chairs to sit and hangout.
Inside, there is a cafeteria style soup and salad bar. Cool fact? All the soups are made from scratch. Score! Otherwise they have a small regular menu, and daily specials. Sometimes the specials are vegetarian or have a vegetarian option, but most of the time there isn’t one so the salad bar would be the only option on those days.
The owner Will is super nice and such a great person as are all his employees. They do great catering as well!
Stop by and try it if you are in one of the surrounding buildings for a quick breakfast, lunch or snack!

I love this place! It’s pretty hidden (it’s in the basement of a business building), so it’s pretty hard to find. The food is fresh and the prices are very reasonable. What I like best about the place is the cook (Will?). He’s so personable and likeable and always has a positive attitude. Absolutely GREAT guy, and his food is good.

I have eaten here several times and all were just good. This place is large and has open floor plan to fit many people and possibly groups for events. I have not ordered anything but plain stuff and would like to come back and try other items. The staff appears happy and I have enjoyed my time here and just need to come back for another meal. I was visiting my friend in Sac and she works in the office of this bldg, but below their office is The Riverwalk Café. It’s basically a café for all the offices around, but anyone can eat there. I’ve come here a few times to visit her and love to eat the food at Riverwalk
The place is huge with reasonable prices. They have a salad bar with many things to choose from. Also there are many sandwiches to choose from. My favorite is their special of they day. There is always something different. For 7.95 you get huge portions with a drink. I loved the meatloaf and the nachos.
The owner Will is super friendly. Oh and they have cupcakes and cookies too. Yum!
