Stay away from this place. This is the Most dangerous beach in Sacramento. There are Many, Many drownings every year at this beach. As I write this, the Sheriff is actively seeking the latest victim of this treacherous spot in the river, the fifth drowning in three weeks.
Save your self, your family, your friends.
Stay away.

A good place to rest on the American River Bike Trail… or to picnic and BBQ on a warm summer day in Sacramento. A good view of Discovery Park across the American River. You can often see sea lions feeding on salmon in the fall through spring.
