Walt Stickel Body & Frame Shop

I brought my VW in for an estimate because I have had great body work done on my Subaru (about 10 years ago).
Walt came out to see the car and told me that I should not need work done on it because the markings should rub out.
I asked him what kind of rubbing compound he recommends.
He walked me through the shop as he was looking for the rubbing compound.
The shop was immaculate and well organized.
Walt brought out a rag, the rubbing compound and started rubbing the markings out.
After about 20 minutes of good old fashion elbow grease and rubbing compound, the markings were all gone.
Walt sent me on my way with my VW looking like it hadn’t been in an accident.
I will always be a customer of theirs.

Starting in 1989 I have had four very satisfying experiences with this second generation German born Auto Meister. I had my 1979 VW van repainted and the finish was not only better than the factory finish but you could use the side of the van as a shaving mirror: fantastisch, toll!
Walt repaired a Honda Pilot for me twice in a superior manner.
Walt gave me a tour of his shop and I found out the following:
He uses the same paint spray and bake booth that Porche uses at the factory in Stuttgart.
He reshapes the metal rather than use bondo or filler putty.
His towing truck engine compartment is so clean it looks like it has never been driven.
You can eat off the shop floor if need be.
I did find a little dust on top of the Coke machine and brought it to Walt’s attention.
Recently Walt restored a rough paint finish and damage issue on a Mercedes for my wife and it now shines and feels smoother than a babies rear end.
Way back in 1987 I was referred to Walt Stickle Body & Frame by a man that produces show cars from the ground up.

My car got stolen and recovered by chp. we were notified via mail 8 days later. This shop charged us 700 dollars to get the car out. I get you are running a business but there are some things you just dont do. Things like charge a working family 700 dollars after their car has been stolen. Spend your money with a company that has a conscience. Thanks Walt.

Had a fender bender with my rock wall. Needed to pay for the repair out of my pocket
I ask my mechanic who he would recommend, he gave me a couple of suggestions .
I read on Unilocal and decided to try this shop. When I went to get an estimate I explained that my Grandson was coming to town and I needed the car so we could go have fun.
Josh said he could not promise but that they would make every effort to get it done before the weekend. True to his word he called me early Friday and said it was done.
I was elated and even more excited when I saw the car. The car bumper looked great and they had touched up some other spots. They get a Five star rating from me!

I cannot say enough about this place. I got in my first accident, and my friend recommended this shop. Josh was exceptionally nice, very professional, kept me in the loop every step of the way. My insurance company wants dragging their feet, and Josh went to bat for me to get stuff done. When he called me to pick up my truck, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was amazed! It looked beautiful! They took care of details I wouldn’t have imagined! My truck is back, and better than ever. I am SO pleased with this place!

At the beginning of the month I got into a bad fender-​bender. My insurance company selected a body shop for me as I did not know any different nor better. I have never been in a car accident until now.

Amazing work and great customer service. Walt Stickel shop has been in business since the 60s and for good reason… they do top notch work and are friendly and knowledgeable. We have taken cars to them over the last 10 years and have always been impressed. I’ve even taken my truck into have have Chuy detail it because he does such a great job. I chose this body shop from a list of body shops that was given to me by my insurance company. It turned out to be a great choice. In the past with other body shops I always received a great product but it was the customer service that lacked. Walt Stickle Body and Frame has both.
I took my 2004 Dodge 4×4 in to have the front and rear bumpers replaced and a bit of bodywork done as a result of a hit and run. When I arrived I met with Kevin who is responsible for all front end aspects of the business from customer service to parts. Kevin was very personable and attentive to my questions and concerns. I also had asked if I could pick up my truck a few days after completion because I would be away on vacation. He had no problem with it as they have plenty of space. The lot is secure as is the warehouse so you feel confident that your vehicle is safe and as it is parked inside there isn’t any worry of potential damage for the elements as with other body shops with an outdoor lot.
When I picked my truck it was washed and vacuumed and Kevin went over all the repairs as we did the final walk around. I plan to restore a 1983 Chevy K-​10 and Walt Stickle will be my body shop of choice.
