It stinks. Stinks on ice. Incompetent staff, disinterested in providing patient care, cannot keep help — the staff either quits or gets fired. Long wait for appointment. I asked my doctor for a bloodwork test to check for gluten issues — gave the doctor the exact name of the bloodwork test and insurance billing code — idiot doctor ordered WRONG bloodwork which was worthless and big waste of my time but they billed medicare and medi-​cal and that really is all that matters, sticking the bill to the govt and doing «Jiffy Lube» type medicine. THis clinic is rubbish. If you go there you put your health at risk due to zero followup and disinterested staff.
If you have Medicare you can enroll in Medicare Senior Advantage plan Ruby Select is FREE and no monthly co-​pay but for just $ 22 a month extra you can get excellent vision plan with $ 250 lens frame allowance free eye exam — plus dental coverage, 30 acupuncture or chiropractic visits in a year AND free membership at 24 Hour Fitness. Health Net Medicare Senior Advantage is FABULOUS and they accept Mercy Dignity Health at 30^th & O clinic.
Do NOT go to Wellspace, Cares Clinic or any other of those «poor people clinic» It is all about their getting tons of federal funding and treating the patients like we do not exist.
BTW — I was on Craigslist and saw a job opening — I called Wellspace to see which branch the job was at. The idiot in Human Resources was unable to string two sentences together and told me in barely distinguishable grunts «call back Tuesday ‘cos I don’t know nuthin» then he hung up on me. Sounded like he was not even an Earthling from this planet. He told me he did not know how to take my phone message and that is when I told him he was a nincompoop and I did not want to work at Wellspace because it is a HOT MESS!!!

Putting one star only because I have to… I have been waiting almost 30 min from my appt time and when I asked how much longer my wait was, the lady couldn’t even find me on the computer… wth? After a few minutes and letting her know my appt was at 10:45 she said I was next… I have a newborn at home waiting and it would be nice to have them stick to their scheduled appts… we, the patients come in early and on time, the drs should have a better estimate of how much time they spend with their patients so that we don’t have to wait so long and be inconvenienced… 30 min is a long time to wait and I’m still waiting…

Don’t waste your time! Your appointment could be at 1pm but you won’t be seen until 3pm, the staff is hit or miss, it appears that the receptionists sucks, medical assistants are great, doctors are terrible. You can NEVER get ahold of anyone on the phone either, this place was a nightmare for me.

If you’re looking for mental health services, PLEASE try to look elsewhere. If you have medi-​cal, use their website to try and find another provider. DO NOT use WellSpace health.
I switched to WellSpace health after I qualified for medi-​cal, and I wish I never had made that mistake. Trying to recieve care for my mental health has been nothing short of a nightmare. No one ever answers the phone, and if you do manage to get a hold of someone, you have to beg them to please not hang up or transfer you to an answering machine. They probably still will transfer you, and the mailbox will be full. If it’s not, and you get to leave a message, no one will return your calls until you repeat this process several times while your depression/​anxiety destroys your life. They only have 2 psychiatrists, and they’re only available one day out of the week, and they cancel appointments all the time. And if you reschedule after your appointment is canceled for 3 months later, they’ll cancel that one, too.
Basically, if you use WellSpace health for mental health services, expect to use the emergency room and/​or urgent care.

They don’t call in your prescriptions, They don’t answer their messages and return your call. The are disrespectful, unethical, negligent and might be close to malpractice or causing additional harm.
I will find a way to report them. To let someone know this place is Dangerous. I am not sure how they keep the doors open except it must be Medical patients. They were called The Effort and had a name change. Why is that? Did they go bankrupt and just reopen with a new name in the same location? Wonder how many mistakes they make in billing and overcharging the Programs that pay them? I would be looking into them for scandalous billing practices.
Maybe a nice little protest in front of the J St. building with some media called in to capture it might be a good idea.
Don’t disrespect me and especially my life. Which they have done both.

I absolutely agree with every last review that has been posted here. It’s hard to believe that this place is still open considering the volume of complaints. And that’s just on this particular website.
I am sending in my change of provider request to Medi-​Cal immediately, because if I have to be subjected to the kind of treatment I received here again, I may very well lose my temper. I made an appointment for a relatively simple and common problem, and the «doctor» I was assigned to, Jack Wong, handled it miserably. And, after he found out that I am a client at a methadone maintenance program (in which I am, and always have been, very successful in) I was immediately written off, as were my medical issues. He stopped listening to a word that came out of my mouth and in a split second I was very obviously put into a corner of judgement and disgust in his mind. He acted as though my requests for birth control were desperate attempts to acquire morphine and I suddenly felt like this was more of an interrogation than anything. I went home with hydrocortisone cream. For severe acne. What? I told him the oils in it break me out even worse. Well, tough luck for me I guess.
In addition to all that, he seemed to barely be able to understand or speak English, much less speak it audibly. I also had the privilege of sitting for well over an hour in small, sweaty waiting room before I got to have this lovely experience.
I am kind of terrified of the obviously inevitable future consequences of attempting to sort out my discrepancies with the place and keep trying to make it work. Especially after reading the reviews of the other poor folks who’ve been treated like crap here. My appointment sounds great in comparison.
If you happen to have this impostor of a medical facility assigned to you by Medi-​Cal, don’t even bother trying. Just submit a request for a new doctor. Good luck.

I am livid and I have reported Wellspace. I received a phone call today from a lady informing me that she received 75 pages of my private medical records to her home fax machine. My medical records were carelessly mishandled and hippa laws were broken. I will be taking any and all action possible. Do not trust Wellspace.

THIS PLACE IS BEYOND AWFUL. I am pregnant and picked up a cold/​flu that has caused me to call into work multiple days so I make an appointment to see a doctor. My appointment was at 3:15, I check in at 2:55. At 3:30 I am told no one checked me into the computer system, but that I will be called next. I wait until 4:30, then am told that I won’t be seen for 30 more minutes because I did not check in for an hour. I go outside to make a phone call, go back into the clinic and wait some more, then am told to GO HOME because the doctor left because they told him/​her that I left. I never said I was leaving. I sat there for 2 hours waiting to be seen, why would I leave at the very end?! They didn’t even offer to reschedule an appointment. This is NOT how anyone who is seeking medical attention should be treated. Especially not someone who is PREGNANT and SICK. I will be changing my insurance provider and making numerous complaints against this specific WellSpace location. Most of the staff I encountered is foul and rude, they are not even friendly in the slightest and they apparently think it’s okay to treat patients like garbage.

THIS PLACE IS UNBELIEVABLE.
I initially had an appointment with Dr. Rowena Nolasco– set over 3 months ago. They called me and said that her personal schedule changed so they had to cancel my appointment so I should set up a new appointment. I set up another one with Dr. Stephanie Wicks (because her availability was sooner than Nolasco’s).
I just got another call yesterday telling me that Stephanie Wicks is no longer serving at this facility so I should AGAIN set up another appointment with someone else. The next available appointment is in December (5 months from now).
I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS FACILITY IS ALLOWED TO CONTINUE LIKE THIS. THIS IS THE MOST FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE EVER.

One star is more than they deserve. They are awful. IF you can get a hold of anybody to get an appointment, they are friendly, but that’s only if you can get a hold of an actual person. Like previous people said, they don’t answer their phones. They may or may not call back. Right now their mailbox is actually full, so I can’t even leave a message. I’m on hold with my insurance right now to change my primary because their way of doing business is absolutely unacceptable.

I wish there was a way to file a legal formal complaint to the health dep about this corporation.
Roseville office is an official manual of how to make a patients life more miserable. How much can you torture your patient.
During the 8 months of service. Here is exactly what I and everyone I see waiting in the office can tell you:
–Your appointment is never before 2 months if a new pt. or one month and a half mo if you are their pt.
— they can call you a day before the apnt and tell you the dr is backed up we are pushing your apnt for another month.
— need to make an apnt? Drive to them. They don’t pick up phones.
— if you need any referral/​authorization/​X-​ray or any other procedure. You will not hear from them for months and months. Urgent? They don’t give the slightest care.
— they lie most of the time about why it’s taking so long. Blame your insurance. Blame the referral coordinator. Anyone else!!!
— you need to speak to someone there during business hours? They Never picked up a phone.
Not even if another dr or insurance co wants to verify something.
You need to ask your dr something about your condition? Voice mail full and if not they never returned a call back.
— everything you ask them this will be the answer «it will take some time. it’s a process. We are backed up» even if you are asking them to ask the dr something before you leave!!!
Heartless. Careless. Never want to help unless you catch them lying.
I drove to them 3 times just to have someone from my insurance speak to them.
The main office in Sacramento is probably aware. I heard so many ppl complaining. This must have reached them.
I have no respect to anyone work in these well space fake medical offices.
Hope someone really gets them for the harm they cause to everyone walks in the office and out with tears in their eyes.
