Zimmerman Re-Roofing

Very professional. Very personable.
Called to get some information on an existing roof and they sent someone over to check it out quickly. They were so full of information, I really learned a lot.

If you are looking for a great experience with a professional roofing company that cleans up after the job and keeps you informed all through the process, DO NOT choose Zimmerman. If you want a reasonable price and can put up with not knowing what’s going on, then go ahead and work with these guys.
The good news is that after 8 weeks of waiting, the final inspection is done. The bad news is that I am pretty sure that if anything goes wrong, I am out of luck.

My experience was awful. I was helping my dad get quotes and Zimmerman refused to talk to me or provide any sort of quote. Zimmerman was condensending and rude throughout the 3 times we met. I have no clue as to why the believe they can treat people this way, but I will never use their company.

Just had a very good experience with Zimmerman. They tore off an old roof & put on a new one. They were conscientious & competent. The foreman Richard does the
right thing for the homeowner. As in all business relationships, there needs to be
good communication both ways. I certainly did not know much about roofing. The
inspections can cause delays, but Zimmerman really accommodated me in getting
the job done quickly. The roof looks great and I am confident it was put on right. I also
feel that if I discovered something was wrong later, they would definitely come back
& fix it. They are trustworthy. And in the roofing business, that counts for a lot! I
highly recommend them.
The owner, Dave, has a great reputation. Alma, in the office, is very efficient. Jason,
who works on the gutters is great. Richard, the foreman, is topnotch. They have a
lot of good people!

I’ve recently had the opportunity to deal with Zimmerman, and I have to say, the experience was wonderful. They were fast to respond, offered me a very fair price, and guaranteed their work. This is exactly the kind of service I want when dealing with a local company. Thanks again, guys!

My mom needed a new roof so I asked around and a friend suggested Zimmerman. I don’t have to tell you that a roof if a pretty big deal. So I was really cautious.
Kenny, the foreman, was very helpful. Good price, professional work, and done on time.
I’m truly happy with my decision.

Here’s one thing they don’t tell you when you buy a house: when your roof starts leaking and you go to call the landlord… there is no landlord! Oh no!
So, when we moved into our house recently our roof was brand new, so we had no problems until just recently. It was no huge thing, just a leak in the bathroom, but, frankly, I’m afraid of heights and wouldn’t know a shingle from Shinola. I was also afraid that my job was so small that a roofing company would laugh at me for calling. Nevertheless, I saw a Zimmerman Roofing truck on the road and took down the number. Within a day my leaking roof woes were over. Here’s what I found:
–Fast, courteous service from people that seem to know way too much about roofs.
–My small problem was fixed for a very reasonable price.
–No more leak!
Someday (hopefully not too soon) I will need a new roof, and I won’t hesitate to call Zimmerman Roofing.

Thank you for the wonderful job you and your crew did on my roof. I know that it was done in the most expedient way possible, even with weather conditions being so uncooperative.
The photo reports were very helpful. Not only was I able to decide what parts of the roof to be repaired, but also I was able to see the results after completion. I was very impressed by the crew of workmen also. They were very meticulous about cleaning the area around the house each time they were there. They also answered questions that I had during the times that I was home while they were working. They were friendly and courteous.
Overall, I am pleased with the work that you did. I know that I would recommend you to friends and family, and/​or anyone else who was looking for someone to repair their slate roof.

Top notch roofer /​re-​roofer. Great crew, high integrity. They completed a job for us, on time and within the budget. Small company that depends upon their reputation, big thumbs up.

Zimmerman Re-​Roofing is HORRIBLE! They ripped off our roof, didn’t cover it in plastic, it rained inside our house and they did NOT fix anything.
All we got was a not-​so-​reassuring «it will dry out» and they left a hole in the roof for one whole week, waiting for it to dry out. When it didn’t dry out completely, they gave us another not-​so-​reassuring «the rest of it will dry with the upcoming heat.»
They provided a small discount on the roof for our inconvenience, but not enough to actually repair the damage and they flat out refused to fix it themselves. They did throw in four extra roof vents for free, because they know that they f***** up and our attic now needs more ventilation. They refused to compensate us for any of the damage caused by their negligence!
To add insult to injury, they tried to cheat us by putting smaller flashing around the roof than they agreed to in the contract and they didn’t put it on one entire side, hoping that we wouldn’t notice. When we pointed this out they only put the nice flashing on two of the four sides, leaving the smaller different colored flashing on one side and another unfinished flashing on the gutter side. When we asked for consistent colored flashing he said «well, you’re going to paint it anyways, right?»
This is just another reason we shouldn’t have gone with the cheapest of the three contractors. But we went with them because we see their signs everywhere and there weren’t any horrible reviews out there.
Honestly we settled for slightly more than they offered and significantly less than we thought just, because we just wanted them to go away.
I don’t know if anyone else is any better, but I know Zimmerman is horrible. This was a great opportunity for them to prove themselves as a great contractor, but instead they just failed.

Needed to have a solar powered attic fan installed. I was directed to Zimmerman by another roofer who was too busy to do the job. Initially everything went fine, I was able to a hold of someone at the company and explain my request. Then my information was sent to a service guy who was supposed to contact me. But he never got back to me with an estimate or to schedule an appointment. I had to call the company back to get his number. Each time I managed to get a hold of the service guy it was like it was the first time he heard of the job (had to continually reexplain what I wanted, the fan I wanted installed, the type of roof I had, and the times that would work for me).
I had an extremely hard time setting up an appointment with him because he only wanted to work in the early morning and that conflicted with my work schedule. I finally managed to schedule an appointment but I got a call 10 minutes after the he was supposed to arrive saying he had to cancel. I set up another appointment two weeks later and he never showed up or called to explain what happened.
Very disappointed with this experience. I ended up wasting a bunch of my time and pushing back this project almost a month for no reason. I understand I have a small job for most roofers, but I don’t appreciate being treated as an after-​thought or minor side-​job. Or having to beg just to get someone to take my money.
