My wife absolutely loves Eric Alt Salon… So much so that I had to write this… after each visit, she makes it a point to tell everyone she knows, how impressed she was with their ability to continually «Exceed Expectations»… and also loves the work that Olivia does, a true artist…

I couldn’t wait to Unilocal about the experience I just had at Eric Alt in Saddle River. Seriously the best blow out I’ve ever had at a Blow Dry Bar!!! I called this morning at 11:30, and was easily accommodated for an appointment with Hadley. So impressed, and you really can’t get a better value for $ 25. She took her time. My hair looks incredible. This was my first time at this Eric Alt location, and just like the others– it was gorgeous and very customer service orientated. So happy! Definitely will use this service again! Highly recommend!!! You can’t get a better blow out anywhere, and certainly can’t beat the price. Eric Alt may just be my new obsession. (Wrote this review about three weeks ago, and it never posted!)

Brittany has been coloring my hair for years. Every time I bring in a swatch or photo, she nails the color, every.time. I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

I have been going to Eric Alt for the past 3 years and love it! Shelly is beyond amazing!!! Before I started going to her my hair was dead and damaged and she brought it back to life. She has given me the platinum blonde hair I always wanted but was never able to get anywhere else, along with an awesome hair cut. She has such positive energy and I always leave the salon feeling great about myself.

I am so, so happy with my experience here. I was greeted with a warm welcome and the salon itself is beautiful. I had the pleasure of Brittany doing my hair. The color was exactly what I wanted. She is truly the master of hair painting. I received so many compliments from everyone. My hair has never looked this amazing and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

This was my second time at the Eric Alt Salon and it was another amazing experience. I was at the HoHoKus location about two weeks ago for a haircut where Christina Kim gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten. She really took her time and taught me so many new tips and tricks that really have been beneficial for my hair. After cutting my hair while it was wet, she went back in and did a dry cut. It came out gorgeous! I loved the Eric Alt Salon so much I decided to go back to add some color to my hair. After my consultation with Brittany at the Saddle River location, she went through and added very light blonde pieces as well as baby lights. The finished product was more than I ever imagined. Each and every person that I met at the salon was extremely personable, helpful and very eager to please their clients. I highly recommend this salon and can’t wait for my next visit!

Love love love love this place! Laura did an absolutely amazing job, Eric had great suggestions, the place is beautiful, the music calming, their signature coconut tea is to die for– overall amazing experience. My hair was in poor shape and the color was faded when I came in. Laura did an amazing color correction and the final result was a gorgeous rose gold hair painting. Amazing place, amazing décor, and amazing staff!

I cannot get enough of this place!!! Brittany is the most amazing colorist in the world — and the prices are so reasonable for the amazing quality services you receive. The only thing missing is a cot in the back so I can move in and have my hair done every day!!!

I’ve had the pleasure of sitting with every stylist here … Such talent at everything and I am extremely picky ! I grew up in the city and at 35 years old haven’t been able to find that city flair here in jersey … I’ve been seeing Britney for hair painting and she is a master !!! My sister uses Shelly who masters the Reds !!! And recently we had a family wedding and antheya gave us beautiful updos … We had the pleasure of meeting Eric who is the kindest man. They go out of their way to attend to you … I watched the stylists make sure the other clients had what they needed … A true team at its finest ! The salon is gorgeous and that I would want Eric to design my home !!!

I went to Shelly for a blow out recently because I had a dinner to go to and wanted my hair to look nice. I was very happy with my experience with her! She blew out my hair so fast, which I loved because I do not like to sit for long when getting my hair done. She recommended for me to part it differently, which made such a difference I have been parting it that way since! I got a lot of compliments on my hair that night and the blow out lasted me a few days! Thank you for making me feel great Shelly!

Let me first say, that I am often unhappy after leaving a hair salon. Too many times, other salons have ignored my color requests or given me a cut and style that looks matronly or severe. I smile when they finish and am near tears by the time I reach my car. However, not only did I smile while still in the chair at Eric Alt Saddle River, but I then proceeded to take about 25 selfies on my way to the car and before driving home. I was VERY excited about my new hair color and style!
I was very fortunate to have Eric do my color and cut and blowout. Lucky, lucky girl. He was so professional, yet fun and most importantly, truly listened to what I wanted. He not only listened and went with the bold changes I was looking for, but boy did he deliver! I felt truly fabulous and beautiful for the first time in a long time!
The salon itself is cozy and entirely stylish and modern. Any staff with whom I interacted was kind and professional. His personal product line was used and also came home with me and works so well.
Basically, the whole experience, start to finish, was excellent. Eric is fantastic and clearly runs a salon that is determined to have clients leaving not just satisfied, but thrilled with their look.

I heard of this place from my good friend Gaby from a picture she posted. From the first phone call to make an appointment I knew this place would e awesome! I loved the fact that they have one receptionist to make appointments for all 3 locations! Super friendly staff. I felt very comfortable as soon as I walked in! Eric was wonderful! I booked an appointment for a haircut and during our hair consultation, we decided on hair painting. Eric was super professional and helpful in helping me decide what I wanted to do with my hair. The entire process was very efficient and his staff was very knowledgable every step of the way. I asked if I should use any specific products to maintain my look and Eric suggested some great stuff. I ended up taking home purple shampoo, conditioner, spray wax, and a hair mask! Loovvve everything! Thank you for such a great job!

Kim is a junior stylist at the salon, and even though she is in her learning phase she is already on the floor making clients beautiful! I couldnt be happier with how my color came out. Its gorgeous and I already received compliments from everyone I saw because of my new color.
She is a junior stylist which is in their lowest price bracket, good if youre on a budget, and she is taking clients in the hohokus location on sundays too! She did some awesome hair painting on me and it came out AMAZING. I am in love with how it came out. Kim was super friendly too (just like Eric and all of his stylists!). And she did a beautiful blow out as well. Definitely will be back for Kim!!!

Shelly and Sam brought me back to life. Shelly took my hair which was a very «odd» red for me and made my color more warm with some fun strips of highlighting. Sam then took my shapeless locks and cut it into a cute bob. I can’t wait to come back again and thankful for the work they both did. I feel so much better

I have been looking for a new Salon since moving to the area and I have found it! Shelly did such a great job of my color and listened to how I wanted my hair cut. For the first time when I said I want to clean up the ends but not lose too much length I got that! Definitely recommend the salon. Great friendly atmosphere.

I had gotten my hair highlighted and cut by Samatha Gunn years ago at another salon but I always remembered her and I have recently found her at Eric Alt Salon-​North, HURRAY! The salon is comfortable and the staff are welcoming, it’s a well run salon and they are great about emailing/​texting your next appointment.
I want to rave about Samantha, she has such a great, creative eye. She always listens & considers my comments, (aka my whiney hair complaints), and what she sees as possible remedies. Her soft spoken, respectful demeanor is a plus– her suggestions are not heavy handed but definitely full of knowledge and expertise. She is extremely talented.

I tried this salon middle of last year because I wasn’t happy where I was going. To be completely honest, the first cut I got I wasn’t sure what I wanted and I chopped a whole bunch of hair off that maybe I should have thought harder about before doing. My 2^nd experience was ok, but the staff seems a little too laidback. My 3^rd experience I checked in at the desk and then proceeded to wait 25 mins (with an appointment) and then I got in the chair and was told I should do «something new» which I had to insist about 3 – 5 times that I just wanted a trim and some layers. This salon is ok but to be honest I don’t think i’ll be going back.

Upon entering the salon, the comfortable atmosphere welcomed me with open arms. The style of the salon is very urban. The staff is clean cut and welcomes you with offering to take your jacket and asking if you would like coffee or tea. Their credible tea that they offer is coconut. I put my complete trust into Eric’s hands and allowed him to dye and work with my hair as he pleased. (I’m currently writing this before he’s dyed it.) The music is not too loud, as it usually is in most salons. The stylists are definitely interested in having conversations, they aren’t just doing their job. Inside, he uses all of his own products and sells his own line, along with his own jewelry. The salon was extremely clean and the lit candles really added to the homey feel. I definitely will be returning just because of the staff and atmosphere.

I came to Eric because of a complete botch job done by a new colorist, and then twice more by another, who was recommended by a friend. I was frankly, terrified to color my hair again, because my hair was so damaged and in such complete disrepair.
First, I’d like to say that after 3 horrible experiences, I suddenly have what is the best color I’ve ever had in my life.. and I’ve had great colorists before. However, Eric’s skill, attention to detail and artfullness is truly unparalleled.
Second, I thought I was going to walk out of that salon bald, because coloring my hair for the fourth time within a month couldn’t be a good thing. Eric intently listened to me and understood my concerns and used specific products that added moisture to my hair. In the end, I walked out after a fourth coloring with healthier looking hair than I came in.
And finally, I have never been to a hair dresser that was more attentive, more in tune with his client’s needs, and more concerned with giving me exactly what I wanted and making sure I went home happy.
Thank you, Eric. I could not be more pleased with the entire experience, but most of all, i feel incredibly lucky to have found you. As long as I reside within 50 miles of you (maybe even 100!), I will never go to anyone else for color.
PS I cannot stop looking at my gorgeous hair!!!
