New Year, new«fad diet of the year»…this New Year’s Resolution finds me delving into the Ideal Protein Diet Before even starting the program, I was completely turned off as I was trying to find out if the diet was suitable for vegetarians. Usually the words protein & veggie do not mix My mistake, was reaching out here, to the corporate offices, in attempts of hearing straight from the source… The company will not provide *any* info regarding their products or program & will only refer you to a clinic’s «Info Session» with the reasoning that the«clinics» offering the program — mainly Chiropractors, NOT Medical Doctors — have all the pertinent info …but don’t YOU, the company responsible for CREATING the program &MANUFACTURING the products, have access to this info? You do — you just aren’t sharing… it is completely ludicrous that no one would even answer a simple question but customer reviews were so overwhelmingly positive that I caved… I went to the info session — which is an in-person, glorified infomercial… and now, to dispel the mystery for all who may be wondering: YES — this program is suitable for vegetarians — in fact, it’s veggie nirvana. Why wouldn’t you want to disclose that?! Protein sources include: Soy Whole Milk Whey — milk Albumin — egg Collagen — animal(not veggie obviously!) But you still have to go to an Info Session — it’s required And let’s just say the«Informational Appointment» is a complete waste of time — basically a 45 min speech about how carbs are bad… like who doesn’t know that? Then after the initial 45 min sales pitch, if we wanted to sign up for the program, we stay ANOTHER45MIN for the orientation — which consists of an info packet review — which we totally could have just read for ourselves! But be sure to overlook the plethora of spelling errors that are scattered throughout the info packet, instructions & ingredients lists — if you are a nationwide«reputable» corporation, wouldn’t you think it wise to invest in a proofreader? THEN, you have to schedule an individual consultation, which is yet ANOTHER long appt where your«coach» will go over the info packet *again* Note for Veggies: The ingredients list makes it handy to mark off the products that contain fish, chicken, collagen, gelatin We’ll see how this all works out, ’cause yeah, I started the regimen… again, the positive customer testimonials outweighed the bureaucracy & if the diet works, I shouldn’t care about the red tape & plethora of appts. But for being the corporate offices, creators of this program, & representative ambassadors, have to say I’ve experienced *much* better first impressions!
