Hampton Inn

I stay at a lot of Hampton Inns in my work travels. There is always a certain level of disappointment y to expect because of the lower cost.
NOT HERE. It was GREAT!

The jacuzzi tub does not work. No refrigerator, no microwave. Only one staff member working in the evening. No actions could be done. The four pillows on the king bed were smaller than twin size. We did get bigger ones after asking for them. Breakfast was all prepackaged fare. The sliced fruit tasted like it was frozen and then thawed type. Very clean.
Update. The tub was operator error. There was a fill detect switch to make sure enough water is there so the pump does not get damaged.

Cannot say enough about this hotel! We have stayed here two times now and had great experiences with each visit!

This is the cleanest, nicest Hampton Inn I have stayed at anywhere in the country; it’s nicer than many of the more «upscale» Hilton Garden Inns, too. The staff was sincere and offered me water at check-​in and recommended some good places for dinner. The room was large and the bathroom was very clean with an eye-​pleasing, modern appeal. I definitely recommend this Hampton Inn to everyone and plan on staying here when I return to Saginaw.

I usually preffer to stay at Hampton Inns when I travel because I find that you get really good value for your money. This one was no exception!
I’ll admit, the room desk setup is rather interesting as it is situated directly in front of the bed. When I was working on the desk I just kept looking at the bed and wanted to go and lay down because it was very comfortable. :-)
I stayed here for one night and had no issues whatsoever. The only con I can mention was the oatmeal available during the breakfast, which was not very good as it was very dry and clumpy. Which is unfortunate because it’s one of the items I look forward to at the breakfast bar at the Hampton Inns. Other than that the breakfast had a good variety.
The location was good, lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance or a short drive.
Did not use the fitness center or the pool during my stay, but they look like they were kept in good condition.

I have stayed here once before and I am absolutely planning to stay again when i come back to Saginaw in Oct. Not only was the manager, Jamie, INCREDIBLE! She accommodated all of our needs. But, the FREE breakfast was amazing! Our room was a great size and very clean.

Staff was extremely accommodating. The hotel looks and smells brand new. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we’re ever in the area.

Clean! Great front desk staff! Free breakfast! Walking distance to restaurants. Perfect and I’m a whiner when it comes to hotels.

I stay here a lot and really like this Hampton Inn.

While the facilities themselves are nice (and what you’d expect from a chain with such a rep for quality), the real reason I’m a big fan of the Saginaw Hampton Inn is their staff.
When a work trip that was supposed to be «Drive into town, have a meeting, leave the same day» unexpectedly turned into a multi-​day affair, I had to find a room in a hurry. Giving the Hampton a call, they not only got a room for me, they were able to have it ready within 20 minutes of my call!
When I came to check in, I needed to send a couple of faxes. The receptionist /​concierge (Casey) was nice enough to send both for me AND drop the confirmation sheets off at my room without charging me for using the service. The staff also gave me good recommendations on places to get food in the area AND stopped by to notify us of a notification from the electric company that they’d be getting their power temporarily blacked out during the night, and making sure we had wakeup calls set with the front desk as opposed to the alarm clocks.
They really went consistently above and beyond to make sure I had a good stay there, and I really appreciated it.
If you’re of the «gym rat» mindset, I’d also point out that the workout room at this Hampton Inn is excellent, with several weight racks, recumbent bikes, elipticals, and treadmills. I had a LOT of frustration to burn off during my stay, and I got great use out of the facilities!
