Worst service I’ve ever had. Our server brought us the wrong food and didn’t check on us until it was cold. We had to try to explain the situation a few times to her, she had trouble speaking English. Family owned place where service is not a priority. The food was not that great.

I’d like to give 2 ½ stars, but when in doubt, round down. Had the steak fajita burrito, the steak was obviously pre bought, and overcooked. The token rice was dry from sitting out(for a while) and wasn’t worth eating. Salsa was decent, chips could use some salt. The beer was ice cold, but on the pricey side($ 9 for a large). The server(Chabela) was for the most part, absent. Overall, okay but I’ve had better Mexican food at chain restaurants.

When this place first opened it was pretty good and business was well. As time passed by it really went downhill. Service is okay and food isn’t much better. Last time I ordered tacos and the meat was very bland. Past few visits haven’t been impressive.

Just great for midwest mexican food. Took my Mom there. I can live on Mexican food, and ate it out west for decades, As well as in Mexico proper. Mom previously did ’ not like Mexi food ‘ Our waitress was charming, and the food great. Mom left enlightened. Singing the praise sof the whole tables’ worth of food. Veggie Fajitas are what did it. You have to have no taste buds to not like it.

This place has really gone downhill. The quality has significantly decreased while the prices have really increased. The service is absolutely terrible! They cannot even get a simple carry out order correct! Definitely will not be going back!

This is the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to do a restaurant review. At first, service was great. Staff was very nice. Great chips and salsa while waiting for your food. One entrée came out 5 minutes before our other 3 meals. Only one of us liked our food and we are not picky. She ordered a cheese quesadilla. The rest was disgusting and is NOT authentic. I have never had an enchilada sauce with no flavor. The worst part was the sauce put over my burrito had oregano in it. It tasted like spaghetti sauce. Disgusting and will never go back!!!

I ordered the quesadilla fajita con pollo, or chicken if you no habla un poquito de espanol! And of course, we started off with the queso. You have to start with the queso. Our waitress kept the chips full and we quickly filled up on those. I got my quesadilla fajita and it was ginormous. I mean, there was barely room on the plate and this made for a very happy girl! I was surprised to find it too was loaded with queso and I like my queso! I would go back here. Friendly, reasonably priced, and did I mention queso?!!

I really did not like this. The food has no spice whatsoever. The worst part was right after I finished my meal. It did not agree with me in a way that tells yyou there is an awful lot of grease in this food! I don’t think it’s even close to the best Mexican food, it was kind of gross actually.

I guess if you live in Shields or Hemloack and don’t want to drive all the way to Bay Road for Los Quators or El Mexicano, go here. You’ll look at the menu and taste the food and wonder if you’re at either of those two places. Basically a generic Mexican place with mediocre food, a few standouts on the menu — chile rellano, chicken chimichanga. Stay away from anything actually Mexican like the chicken mole or enchilidas. The buffet is always missing food and the staff is bewildered when you ask for extra tortillas. Which, like the other restaurants in town, refuse to serve a home-made flour tortilla. Instead you get the same soapy-tasting excuse for a tortilla as you can buy at Wal-mart.

I was so excited when this place opened last summer! Finally good Mexican food without going across town! Their chips and salsa are great and you have got to get the Chicken Chimichanga… also, the La Bonta is great. The review about this place being pricey is ridiculous… my fiancé and I can eat there for $ 20 plus a tip. Half priced beers and margaritas after 8pm! I cannot say enough about this place. Service is excellent and their lunch buffet is killer. We go a few times a week!
