Their employees need to be trained better. I got an email offering a free popcorn last year during a particular weekend. When I went to the counter to redeem the offer, the employee looked confused, then said he could give me the free popcorn based on the number of points I had. I later discovered I had 5,000 points taking off my FMG Club account. I contacted corporate and got this corrected a few weeks later. I just thought they ignored me. Weeks later, I went to see another movie with the same offer through an email. This time, a different employee seemed confused and was ready to take the points off my account before I flipped my lid. I mean, seriously, don’t the managers discuss this company’s email deals before every shift for crying out loud? It’s pathetic. Thankfully, there was a manager there who could help him, but this really should not be happening. It seems to be a real problem with cashiers around this town too. Quite a few of them aren’t bright or trained well. I mean, I can’t be the first person to come in asking about these email deals, can I? Something else that bothers me is how the self-serve ticket machines always seem to be closed. There are long lines, what is the point of doing this? It’s just dumb.

Since there are very few theaters around mid Michigan, this is by far the nicest! The seats are comfy and the theaters and spacious and clean. There’s a nice sitting area in the lobby and the staff is always friendly. It’s constantly busy since its newly opened around a year ago, but it’s worth going to!

My elderly mother and I went to see Mission Impossible for the 4 P. M. showing. The new theater is NOT handicap friendly. We decided not to stand in the long ticket line so we opted to use the self serve ticket kiosk. Well, we inadvertently purchased tickets for the 11:30 P.M. showing which in itself is not the problem the ticket said theater 4. So we were told the theater was being cleaned as the last show was letting out. I asked the gentleman«the movie does start at 4 right?» Yes it does he replied. So again I asked«but doesn’t the movie start at 4? Yeah it does, it just needs to be cleaned first. Since it was 4:00 on the nose I was only a little bit suspicious of his reply. So as my mom waited on the non padded bench. I purchased popcorn came back, was told the theater was ready. So we went in sat down and expected the movie to start. After 20 minutes and watching several young kids enter I went back to the employee who took our tickets and said«is this theater showing Mission Impossible?» He says yeah… well let me check. Basically we were refunded our ticket purchase. The friendly manager said I hope you will come back. Unfortunately it will be a long time before we return.

My new favorite theater in Mid-Michigan! We used to go to NCG Cinema in Midland, but this newer theater has so much more going for it. Parking is plentiful, even during busy times. I particularly like the self-help ticket kiosks; an easy way to quickly avoid the lines at the ticket counter, although they only seem to be available for use about 50% of the times I visit. The new stadium seating is great, with the new seats not being grimy cloth messes. The theaters seem to be clean every time. Since I personally detest the novelty 3D movie trend that’s thankfully dying down, I really enjoy that this theater heavily favors 2D showings, with 3D showings being significantly less frequent.
