Avoid the first floor like the plague. The walls are comically thin and the hallway is shared with the hotel bar, so you’re treated to the sounds of loud and unusually profane drunk people until the wee hours of the morning.

We attended for a wedding guest trip into town on a Sat into Sun stay. The check in process was long, and the desk girl had something in her mouth which made it hard to hear her. We had a room in the older section, which was converted to inside door rooms by building a hallway, but the air conditioners were left venting into the hallway, making the hall very hot. The air conditioner in the room was loud and not very good, which made it hard to sleep. The walls are thin and you could clearly hear guests in other rooms talking and watching TV when the AC wasn’t blasting out their noise with its own. The bed was comfy, there was enough parking, and the location is good for events in Western Saginaw Township and Western City of Saginaw.

Had a very pleasant quick stay. Had an emergency trip from traverse city, was 2am before we were able to leave and we decided to stay the night. The gentleman at the front desk was so very nice! Gave a room for a great price and helped accommodate to what we needed, due to not having brought anything. Great place to stay, with a homey atmosphere. Thanks Ramada staff!

Needed some place to stay in Saginaw for a prolonged period of time(x12 weeks). Luckily, I found the Ramada. The best thing about this place is the staff. All of them are very friendly, especially those working at the front desk. They’re willing to answer any questions you have and go above and beyond to find the answer if they don’t know it themselves. Also, with their shuttle service, you have transportation to anywhere in Saginaw. If you need to go a little further(ex: Birth Run outlet stores), there’s a small fee you can pay. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the ride. Very useful, especially if you’re not used to driving in the snow. The worst thing about the hotel is that there are no windows in any of the rooms. Apparently, the hotel used to be a building with poor insulation. In order to make it more hospitable for extended stays, an outer wall was constructed. The outer wall has windows but unless you keep your door open, it’s unlikely you’ll get any sunlight. With that being said, there are plenty of lamps and artificial lighting to read, etc. Those that stay at the Ramada are provided dinner Monday through Thursday(6 — 8 pm) with continental breakfast being served everyday from 6:30 am through 10 am. Typical array of bagels, pastries, fruit, juice, coffee. There’s also free coffee and tea in the lobby available for all customers. The«gym» is a little sad. It’s composed of a sit-up machine, treadmill that needs to be oiled, an elliptical, and tricep press machine. The room is tiny and if another person is sweating up storm, you’ll likely be able to taste their sweat in your mouth. DI lounge is great. The food is a little expensive but the beer on tap is really cheap. I think a pitcher of Guinness was $ 12. Great for parties and just relaxing. They have local music and the occasional Wii night. During late-spring, summer, and early fall(before snow blankets the city), the outdoor patio becomes available. There is a poker room. Every Friday night there is a tournament. Never played but there are guys who frequent that place and walk away with a couple hundred bucks each week. Pricing. A little expensive considering Saginaw isn’t really a place you go to for vacation. Rooms are large and clean. Every room comes with a large television and king-size bed. Some of them also have couches that fold out into a full-sized bed. Each room is equipped with a fridge and microwave.

Friendly staff, a goody bag in the room upon arrival, which contained snacks and a couple bottles of water, complimentary dinner and breakfast, shuttle service, a lobby area with complimentary tea and coffee, a workout room and lounge. Another ditto on the front-entrance-being-the-back and the-back-entrance-being-the-front confusion. I wish I’d read reviews before staying so I could’ve saved myself a bit of a walk. The lobby entrance(where you check in) faces State St and the lounge faces Davenport Ave. So, there you go. The room was very neat and clean. One thing that bothered me was the window facing the hallway. Hall light streaming into your bedroom at night is not only a bad idea, it’s an annoying one. Also, we had the misfortune of having a room close to the ice machine, so we heard it gurgling all night. Not a bad place to stay, overall, just request a room away from the ice machine.

Very nicely refurbished, and you could play hockey in the suites.(Two large flat screen televisions, a small sink, refrigerator… very nice.) There is a tiki bar and they were offering a voucher for a free dinner to all staying guests on weeknights(didn’t try it; I’m a vegetarian and the dinner was Oriental chicken salad). Sort of a confusing layout; the back and the front look pretty much the same and you may have to walk a long way to your room, which may not be labeled very well. Located in a mostly residential neighborhood; not a lot of local food options. Free wireless, but it was kind of up and down; had to log in a couple of times. Free breakfast, if you can find it(the signage in the hotel left something to be desired). Do check in the fridge for additional goodies to the hot scrambled eggs. Clean rooms and artistically laid-out soaps in the bathroom. Overall, it’s nice, but due to the location and the wonky wireless I have mixed feelings. Very convenient to the Horizons Center(owned by the same people). Reasonable rates.

Truthfully, I wasn’t expecting much, but was delightfully surprised… Go Ramada! It’s laid out a little funny(I think the back used to be the front, and it was expanded upon), but overall still quite a lovely«less than 24 hour» stay. –Clean rooms. –VERY friendly staff. –A bar manager that opened the bar an hour early for a bunch of wedding refugees in need of beer. Plus, bought us our first round of domestic bottles.(DI Lounge, with outdoor patio!) –Comfy beds, though really I probably could’ve slept on rocks and been very happy. –Light continental breakfast(included) –Easily accessible on Davenport. –Shuttle to the wedding reception AND back(lifesaver, for real). –Workout Room. Everyone is happy, everyone slept well, everyone has coffee and donuts. It’ll be a good day. Wedding rate of $ 89 + tax. Very nice :)
