Hannaford Supermarkets

Hannaford Saint Albans has had a superb facelift! The store looks great and is a pleasure to shop in. Always friendly help here and I’m never finding myself stuck in the one cashier line that is open, they do well to keep things moving on the front end. Deli and seafood counters are very friendly. I’ve always got the help I needed from all counters here (haven’t had to use the Bakery counter yet). The lay out is ok other than the fact that at some point the aisles don’t align so you have to sort of turn a corner to see the aisle signs to know what those particular aisles contain. So I sometimes get a bit reversed when trying to figure out where stuff is. But as I said, the new refinishing is making for wide aisles and clean appearance. I don’t always find what I look for on every trip either so it seems the inventory can be spotty on certain weeks.

Just stopped in to get basics here after pulling into St. Albans last night at the start of a 13-​week contract. Looks like a nice market. Good produce section, deli, beer selection.
