Wow! Never thought i’d be impressed by a store as everyday as a Big Lots, but nonetheless, this place is great. I’ve NEVER encountered such friendly store associates anywhere, EVER. Everyone said hi to me, cracked jokes with me, and otherwise made me happy to be there, starting when I walked in the front door (the fist associate even knew the guy in front of me by name). This place was crawling with associates busy stocking the store – like one in every other aisle, at least, and every single one of them stopped what they were doing to greet me. Crazy.
Anyway, apart from that, the selection was nice compared to my experiences at Big Lots as a kid. More household stuff and less crappy clothing.

I love this Big Lots (in particular) because they are friendly and have a wider selection than the one in Ferguson, MO. The furniture section maybe a tight squeese but pretty much the rest of the store is easily accessible.

If I need to get something cheap, I’ll turn to Big Lots. Besides having a selection of pretty much everything you could think of, they also carry decent furniture. I was looking a futon for my room and decided to give Big Lots a try. I got a futon frame and a mattress for less than $ 150. I thought it was a steal. The frame was very nice for the price. The cashier even helped me put the futon into the car I was driving.
One thing I would watch out for is expiration dates. I noticed in the food isles that the dates were very close to the current date. I would make sure you give yourself enough time to eat your food purchase! Otherwise, I love finding deals at Big Lots.
