This review is for the tea room experience. The food was excellent — however, as one review pointed out, there is just way too much stuff. If half of the«Stuff’(miniatures, dusty floral arrangements, bric-à-brac) was removed, it would be a beautiful place. The tables are a bit crowded together for the amount of guests that were there the day we were. Service was good, selections were wonderful. There is just alot of potential — a good cleaning and downsizing of stuff would work wonders. It also would be helpful to somehow have a screen so the office isn’t seen when you enter. Also clean windows would be a great improvement.

This little spot has a lot of charm and a lot of potential, but it could do a lot to improve itself. The house is in great condition and is in a cute little neighborhood at the edge of town. I know that the owner and the staff mean well, and that definitely goes a long way. Nevertheless, I would be hard pressed to stay here again. The room we stayed in(Sherwood Forest) was absolutely crammed with knickknacks, decorations, and multiple fakes trees and plants. It could have felt much cozier with at least a third of the pictures, wall hangings, and other miscellaneous items taken out. As it was, there was little room to move around and I felt more penned in than I felt at ease. One perk that the Inn offers is a special fondue dinner. Again, though I know the staff meant well, this was a very disappointing meal. The cheese fondue for the first course came out lukewarm and never actually mentioned to melt. We ended up just digging out the cheese and eating it with chunks of bread. The sauces for the meat and veggie course were lackluster at best(except the gorgonzola sauce, which was delicious). The store-bought barbecue sauce, perhaps it was Bulls-Eye, was a sad inclusion. The most disappointing element of our stay was the fact that the staff didn’t realize that, when they sit in the kitchen talking, everyone in the dining room area can hear the conversations loud and clear. When one customer showed up presumably unexpected for breakfast, the frustration of the kitchen staff was made readily apparent. Keep in mind that he was only customer #3 of the morning. This lack of professionalism was a real negative point in my stay and is something that should never happen in the first place. I know it tried, but the Blue Belle Inn has some improvements that it desperately needs to undertake in order to live up to its full potential.
