I recently came to this Converse«Outlet» store looking to buy a pair of cute multi-colored converse. I came with a friend of mine but to save time she went to check out the Nike Outlet while I came here first. Upon first entering this so called Converse«Outlet» I noticed that they had a huge selection to choose from and even the prices on the multi-colored Converse were at much lower prices(about half off) then just the one colored Converse sneakers. I was super exited at that point and was trying to find an employee to help me out… this is when things began to go down hill. First off the store wasn’t even busy, besides me there was one other lady trying on a pair of shoes and there were plenty of employees just standing around and chatting to each other. I tried several times to get the attention of one of the female(didn’t get her name) employees to help me with no avail. So at that point I called my friend who was at the Nike Outlet store and asked if she would come and try to help me flag down an employee. I was completely baffled when she came in and all of a sudden we had service… finally. So I asked the employee about the specific Converse I had been looking at… to my surprise the ones I had been looking at were Juniors sizes! Yep you read that right, apparently this Converse«Outlet» not only carries the usual babies/toddlers, kids, women’s, men’s, and now *Juniors* sizes? I’ve never heard of a juniors sized shoe before… and really only thought that was for clothing. At this point my options had decreased to about one isle of the store, the multi-colored converse that I had been looking at were no longer an option and the ones that were in the women’s sizes were double the cost of the ones I had wanted. I was also told that they had a unisex section(how many different sized sections of shoes do these people need) but when I saw them I no longer wanted any of the Converse that they had… the reason? Most shoe stores display their smaller sized shoes because it’s more visually appealing and usually you’ll want to at least try the shoe on and buy it. Not here, they had what seemed like their largest shoes out on display which made them look like clown shoes especially when some of them were in colors like hot pink or red! I think I’ll just stick with DSW next time or another Converse store with better customer service and a less confusing sizing system.

I have never in my life purchased, shopped for, or worn a pair of Converse sneakers. I am saying this because I have no idea if the prices here are a bargain or regular prices. I came in here with a girlfriend of mine who was looking to purchase a pair. The store is small, but from what I saw, they had a pretty nice selection. They had a wide array of colours and there was a wall in the back with a pretty decent clearance section. Customer service was great here. I was greeted when I entered(I came in after my girlfriend because I had been in the Nike store) and was asked if I needed any assistance at least three other times. The sales girls were very cheery and pleasant. It seemed they actually enjoyed their jobs. I was kinda baffled though because my friend said after we left that she had trouble getting assistance from everyone. *shrug* I believe my friend, I just find it odd that we had two completely different experiences while we were in there at the same time. Well, she had been in there about 10 – 15 minutes longer than me. For what it’s worth, from someone who knows nada about Converse, it seems like a pretty good place to pick up a pair of Chucks.

Small for a Converse outlet, and too much room given over to things like T-shirts instead of having more sneakers in stock and let’s face it, the main reason people come here is for the Chucks in crazy colors or hard-to-find sizes. They have more colors of Chucks than you’d find at, say, your local Journeys or Champs, but not enough. Not all the current production or seasonal colors even. Like, no yellow, no maroon, not even the wild iris or whatever it is current seasonal color. In contrast to what Mika complained of, I’ve always found the staff to number at least three associates and nearly trip over you trying to ensure you have ample help. They’ve never been rude to me in the least, but do kind of get in your way.

I wish I could give this store a negative star. I love converse sneakers and I consider these shoes a staple in my wardrobe. However, the customer service at this location alone made me decide not to make any future purchases here. I went in yesterday and there was only one guy working. Maybe he hates his job and takes it out on the customers? Basically, I asked about some white sneakers that were stained on both shoes and the laces were dirty too. I asked if I could have an additional discount. Instead of kindly saying«sorry, no» this dude proceeds to speak to me in a condescending tone and says«no that’s why these are labeled B!» Excuse me, I don’t work here and I don’t know what the heck the B sticker means!!! Maybe you should make a sign to explain this«B Label» Mr. Disgruntled Worker With The Too Tight Skinny Jeans On!!! I left the sneakers and walked out. Never again!!!
