I’m not sure why people are so down on this place. Polite vendors who are ready to wheel and deal, decent places to eat, a live country duo, and I even got to pet a pig! Come check it out. It’s a fun way to spend the afternoon.

Found some nice items we did not expect to find. Smells like a flea market in some areas. Was very large and we had fun!

Not as bad as most. I’m old school. To me a flea market is a giant yard sale with lots of junk. It is not socks, expired cosmetics, and China made garbage. This place has a little of both but I didn’t get disgusted and leave. Oh, and I saw a puppy in a cage, a rebel flag, and some scary looking guns and guess what? I walked right on past them and kept on shopping without getting butt-hurt.

Do not waste your time! If I could post this review without any stars I would have done just that. While I agree with the previous posts about it being filthy, extremely hot, smelly, and just full of junk, what left me feeling physically ill was the puppy and kitten mill booth, «Brendas Lil Joys». Her booth needs to be shut down! Those young animals locked in hot cages for hours deserve a better life. Although I reported her to the front office, I was told they can’t do anything about closing her down. I think anyone who cares at all about the treatment of animals should make continuous reports to the Humane Society until Brenda’s business is closed for good!

The wife and I were out one Sunday afternoon and looking to kill some time and do something we hadn’t done before– so we stopped into the St. Augustine Flea Market. I’ve heard a lot of stories from friends and family shopping here, so we had to try it ourselves. Parking was easy, plenty was available, although getting into and out of this place can be a pain due to the location on 207. We parked our car, and went for a long, lazy stroll through the buildings. This is an outdoor flea market, and although the majority is in the shade, it’s extremely hot and muggy during the summer months. There are plenty of cool shops and stores, but the majority of this place has a feel of walking through a giant yard sale. Used appliances, clothes, tools, etc all over the place. However, we did see a number of cool little shops that were very well maintained and offered up some handcrafted merchandise, or some hard to find items that were pretty cool. I really enjoyed walking through a lot of the sports related stores, and found some real cool vintage NASCAR memorabilia, and I also liked the video game store that sold old school Nintendo and Sega games and systems. The prices were outrageous, but it was cool to check out. The wife enjoyed checking out a lot of the handmade jewelry stores, as well as some handmade crafts and clothing. Plenty of places offering things to eat, but not anything I would go out of my way to have. I was glad to see the puppy mill was no longer there, or at least it wasn’t when we walked through. I was very disappointed in the amount of local produce for sale, or maybe I just missed it. I was hoping to find some local farms selling their fresh fruits and vegetables at a good price, but didn’t see anything that I couldn’t find at a local Publix, at about the same price. Overall, we did enjoy the few hours we were there. I did find a few cool things to buy. A lot of this place is just overpriced junk, and I felt a bit grungy and dirty leaving the flea market. I would say it’s worth stopping in once, but I think you’d be better off visiting the one in Daytona.

If your a vendor do not go to this place unless you went to be treated like dirt. The guy who thinks hes security thinks hes tough but needs some people skills. And the lady cant turn the computer on tell 8 am Sharp. But can stand around and talk. I been in this business over 8 years and never seen Such people in my life.

Was expecting more but was disappointed with the items. Most of it are used clothes, kitchen, dining, garden etc that could be donated to thrift stores. I saw puppies for sale. They looked sad and exploited. Produce were like the ones you see in grocery stores. Nothing special. Unless you are into junks and 2nd hand outdated stuffs I would not recommend this place.

Not sure why I am writing this review… cause I agree with everyone else here. Loads and loads of crappy junk! But it’s truly a «Flea Market» but the most basic definition. My favorite vendor(I don’t have her booth number) was the woman who sold plants and shrubs just as you walk in from the parking lot. She had a really nice little selection, all reasonably priced. She was very helpful. I did buy a $ 2.00 well used shovel so I could plant my new shrubs. Oh…and it wouldn’t be a visit to the flea market with buying socks! Everything was s¥¥t! The place has no A/C so it is super hot… and smelly from old stuff(people and products). I was surprised to see in the middle of it all a vendor selling puppies!!! It might be worth a trip just to see where people shop when they are not in Walmart… There were some scary characters here. I was disappointed the the hydroponics u-pick strawberry farm next door was closed when we were visiting.

This place seemed like a bad garage sale. If you want a cleaner place with more selection, go to the Volusia Flea Market in Daytona Beach. It was ridiculously hot the day that I went here, and there were very few vendors out. There didn’t seem to be anything worthwhile for me and my friends and we left very disappointed. We were saddened by the puppy mill puppies that were for sale, and seemed to be overheated. :( I would recommend passing it and going to Daytona Beach if you have the time.

St. John’s flea market is an interesting place to visit. It has vegetables, fruit, sunglasses, old furniture, used fishing rods, used computers, etc. It even has a big area for used tires. They have several restroom and eating areas throughout the market. If you want to spend an hour or an hour and a half looking for a large variety of used and old items this might be the place to visit and stroll for a morning or afternoon. I live in the area and have been here several times before. It winds in a ¾ circle for about 8 blocks. There are T areas that shoot off from the main area and there is an additional outside area which has mostly new comers or people with very little money to show their wares. It’s best to get there after 11am if you want to see everything but it does get busy after 11am. This is the place the bike people might show up especially since it is right off I-95 and SR207. There is plenty of parking in and around the market on dirt parking areas and roads.

Let’s play Jeopardy. The answer… — junk, — Lucifer standing in line for a shaved ice, — shaved ice, — Avon, Avon, and more Avon, — enough imported Chinese goods to make a noticeable difference in the US Foreign Trade Deficit, — a hot-dog and a Bud in a plastic cup — a bucket of ice-water with a sign over head that reads«Doggie drinks» — dogs, for sale, on leashes and on their hubby’s arms — electronic gadgets from before the George H. W. Bush administration(that’s Dub’s diddy) — guns, knives, swords, tweezers, scissors — produce — peanuts, boiled and roasted and wasabi covered — a smell like you haven’t experienced since your big brother locked you in great aunt Katie’s attic in Coudersport, PA — and a middle-aged guy from NE Ohio, looking around somewhat confused. The question: What are things you’d find at the St John’s County Flea Market on a July Saturday at 10:30AM. A Flea Market at it’s most elemental, raw form. From the Record Courier: … Will I be back…, well, that lady in the ridiculously cheap cell phone accessory booth said she’ll have the car vent phone holder I’ve been looking for… next weekend. Cya there!
