This is the second time we have used this moving company for a move. Both times they have been late. The first time, however, they brought extra help so that we wouldn’t be inconvenienced by a delay in our move due to it being their fault. They were very apologetic and super helpful. We used them last week, and received a text 24 minutes before their scheduled arrival time that they would be 2 to 3 hours late. They actually ended up arriving in our parking lot 3 hours and 41 minutes late. This put the entire timetable for our move off and ended up with my husband having to take additional time off of work to finish everything. They also damaged a few pieces of our furniture. These items were new and put together at the apartment so we know that they were in perfect condition at the time of the move. When we posted a review on the U Haul website the business owner tried to claim that my husband assisted them with moving the items and that’s why they were damaged. However, that is an outright lie. The movers were hired so that we would not have to move the furniture and my husband only touched the drawers to the dressers. Those were not damaged in the move. They also balanced a very heavy appliance dolly on the cross beams inside my child bunk bed, which caused it to become scratched when it was removed because of the way it was placed in the truck. One dresser has a ding on the side near the top, a bench has a gouge in one of the legs, and an organization unit has a corner broken off of the back. All of this was due to the way that it was loaded. We had plenty of blankets available and not all of them were used for the move. We ended up paying them for an extra hour of moving, which they wanted in cash. I told them I would run to the ATM and be right back with their money. Instead, after dark, they decided to follow me to the ATM without telling me. I don’t know these people, so I had no idea whether or not they were trustworthy. It is not a good feeling to be a woman going to an ATM by yourself after dark and being followed by a mini van full of men. Luckily I had the foreman’s(Blake) cell number and was able to text him to make sure that it was actually them. Of course that being said, I still had no way of knowing whether or not they were serial killers in their spare time. The crew was hardworking and friendly, but I still wouldn’t use them again because of the fact that you can’t count on them to be on time, furniture was damaged and the business owner refusing to take responsibility for a poor loading job and instead blaming my husband who did not once touch the furniture.
