Captain D’s Seafood Restaurants

Just finished dinner. Clam strips had NO clam flavor discernible. They have changed their fries to thicker so they hold more grease. My scallop came out charcoal on top and lacked flavor also. The fish was moist but again tasted like the fryer oil more than fish.
But what can you expect for under $ 10.00 per person

Fresh food, extremely good service (staff came around to see if everyone was satisfied). One star lost for short staff (drink stations and some tables needed some cleaning attention), but overall good experience.

It is what it is… a fast food fish place, but its a good one. This location is always clean, and the staff is fast and friendly. They usually have a good special going on like the current $ 4.99 sampler which came with fish, chicken, and shrimp, along with 2 hush puppies and 2 sides. So much food I couldn’t even finish it all. They have very good Iced Tea, too.

Recently Visited this location and it seems to be just as the Captain «D“‘s I remember growing up. I always liked the atmosphere at Captain «D“s. The always have a great menu selection for a fast food fish restaurant. At this one they even have a Catfish Platter that just looked awesome. Dining area looked like I always remembered. For a restaurant established in 1969, sure do wish they would make their way to the Northwest.
Had Coffee for dessert with their Bananas Foster Cheesecake Bites and they were Amazing !!, They have more Veggie choices than others seem to have. I remember they had a Giant Fish Sandwich, but didn’t notice if they still had it or not. The Hush Puppies are unique and a pleasure to have also.
I would love to see more of these popping up locally. The staff at this Missouri location also seemed very attentive and friendly.
