Dolce Bakery has closed. I’ll miss my Turtle cookies and cannoli. And of course the people take worked there! :(

Had one of the mini focaccia breads– Amazing. They can even make a sandwich on one of them for you. Butter cookies were also very good. Great place to stop in downtown Saint Charles.

Gelato was very very good. I had vanilla, and I tried the birthday cake, and the biscotti cookie(which I should’ve bought). 4 stars cause they also sell cookies that are dry and flavorless. We got a box of cookies, and they tasted overall just generic and bland.

We stopped here for something later in the evening in our room. We got a couple canalis & piece of chocolate cake and it was delicious. Everything is made right there and seems to be fresh. It’s a nice little bakery located right off the fox river. Get the homemade gelato, you can’t go wrong.

We have been coming here for years! Great food and staff. Everything is prepared fresh. They make their Gelato on site and have a lot of great flavors. Fresh baked Italian pastries! The prior manager bought the store and is adding to the menu. This is a great spot for adults and children. You won’t be disappointed!

I miss the former place and don’t agree with the others. The pastries are not as fresh and some of the staff is down right rude. I took a guest there end of May to get a few desserts to go. Two girls were standing outside the door smoking. We went in and they said«we are closing in 10 minutes: with a very rude tone. We got a few desserts and left. My guest could not believe the rudeness. I will not continue to go here unless the new owner steps up to the plate and makes changes.

Been here twice. My granddaughter has not been disappointed(she’s visiting from Florida). In fact, she visited around this time last year and remembered each and every one of the little pastries and cookies she got then. So far, the carrot cake, cheesecake, and amaretto cookies have been deemed great(my wife has hidden the amaretto cookies somewhere). The service was great. The Gelato looked good but we did not partake this time. Next Time.

Nice little coffee shop. Stopped here before the x-mas parade with some friends. Service was wonderful, and they make some excellent Gelato. The baked goods looked delicious, however, I did not indulge. A mistake I don;t plan on making again. Next time I’m out in the western burbs, you’ll find me here.

I loved the original bakery. So I was leery hearing that they changed hands and name. You know how that goes. But I have to say it’s just as good as it was when it opened. My love, my cannoli was as yummy as ever. So delicious and fresh too. You can’t go wrong with them! Mom had a cheesecake slice and loved it. Yeah you have won the mom vote. The staff was wonderful even dealing with a problem customer who was in front of me. Kudos to them. I’m just happy with all the changes that my cannoli has remained the same.

This place was honestly sooo great. Originally known as Il Giardino Del Dolce. I went here with my sister for a tasting. We had lunch and the food was just as good as the pastries so she ordred catering trays from them too. TRYTHISPLACE!

Great place– we are new to town and happened upon this bakery/café and fell instantly in love with their delicious coffee(brewed, espresso and espresso drinks) and baked goods. We also tried their little pizza rounds– also delicious. My children love to choose from their beautiful selection of cookies and desserts. I ordered a cannoli cake for an upcoming event because their cannoli are so tasty. Service here is always extremely friendly, prices are very reasonable, and I do not have a negative thing to say. They do have tables and chairs inside, so it’s a nice, cute place to stop and enjoy a treat or lunch(I believe they make sandwiches to order as well). The location is in a lovely part of downtown St. Charles on the river. Definitely worth checking out!
