Overall, the food and atmosphere were good, the staff were friendly, and the prices were cheap. It has a great atmosphere and overall décor with a great southern California feel to the restaurant. The food was good, but nothing outstanding. Nothing food wise someone with a decent understanding of Mexican food couldn’t make at home on their own. It was pretty cheap too with the tacos running around $ 1.99 each. You do get a take home plastic cup with their name on it when you order a drink! Oh, and their signature hot sauce was pretty awesome. I would come back and would recommend to others.

What a disaster! The restaurant was completely filthy. We had to clean our own table and the place was not even busy. We ended up with a huge piece of melted plastic at the bottom of our nachos. I brought it to the manager who could care less. I brought up the fact that every table was dirty and he said, «You think this is bad, I wouldn’t even eat here six months ago» This didn’t surprise me because he presented himself in the same manner. Needless to say, we will not be back and I will relay our experience.

We love fuzzy’s in Westport and tried this location tonight… Awful, awful, awful! Queso tasted like soup, guacamole was runny and gross, and my shrimp was burnt. The salad comes with bag lettuce and hardly any chicken. Worst $ 22 ever spent and we’re currently at home fixing dinner as we threw most of ours away :( Adding on: location was filthy and our cup had brown stuff in it… A table broke outside too and our drink flew everywhere. Best part of the meal was the diet Dr Pepper in the new cup we had to request

Been here a few times, I have no idea why I ever go back. The wait times are outrageous(think 30 min when there are ~10ppl in the store) and the staff is generally unhelpful. The majority of them give off the vibe that they would rather be anywhere else. Food gets worse as the evening goes on. I honestly feel cheated out of my money after my last visit. Maybe this place is good in theory, but in reality it is always a disappointment.

Well, not impressed at all. First, I tried all 3 taco types and they were OK, but would have been better if I made it at home… the taco shells were definitely store bought, and the seasoning was bland. I also got the chips and queso. The oil that they used to make the chips was old! It had the same smell/taste of oil that I found when moving in the back of the pantry that was more than 3 yrs expired. It stinks, and the chips did too! The queso had a good flavor, and the burn your but sauce was good too… although it was not hot. Staff seemed ok at first, friendly. When I went to pick up the bag at the window, I asked how to get the beeper to stop vibrating and was ignored. I grabbed my stuff and left. Probably won’t be back unless I am not wanting to make home made Tacos. Don’t see this place lasting unless they step up their game in a big way at this location.

Took my daughter there for the first the on on mc clay in st Charles. It was very good and filling. Only problem is the set up it was very crowded and very noisy which made for the eating time chaotic but food was good

Just had dinner and it was delicious. Tried the grilled shrimp taco and the brisket taco. I would definitely recommend these two tacos for sure. Staff wasn’t terribly friendly but it wouldn’t prevent me from going back.

I’ve wanted to try Fuzzy’s Tacos for months. I first tried the Manchester location and it was perfect, so I decided to give this location shot despite reading all the horrible reviews. I ordered the taco plate + 2 tacos to-go. Took a little over 15 minutes. The chicken tacos were cold and missing half of the toppings(tomatoes, cheese, cilantro), the beef taco was cold, and I got a shrimp taco instead of the grilled fish taco that I ordered. The shrimp was cold as well but I’m unsure as to whether it’s supposed to be or not– so, my whole main meal was cold. Super. Minimal amount of rice for one of my sides, and the black beans had SO much extra junk in them, which I can usually forgive since I’ve worked in the food industry since I was 16, but this was disgusting. Leftover tomatoes, onions, rice, bits of cilantro, even a whole chunk of pork. I couldn’t stomach to think how uncleanly it must be back there. Staff was pretty unfriendly– the kind of unfriendly that it seems like you’re pestering or inconveniencing them, even with it only bring 2:45. I’ll give this location one more shot before I call it quits, but this is an extremely disappointing first time around and I really don’t even want to try it again because I feel like it will be another waste of money. I recommend going to a sit down Mexican restaurant instead; it’ll take about the same time plus chips & salsa are free. El Maguey is my favorite around here, but El Pueblito Taqueria is the most authentic you can get from the Chuck

Unfortunately I was told this was originally from another state — hopefully it’s better in another state — depending on the hour the college kids do or don’t want to cook-the later you go obviously the worst the food gets– earlier in the day is better — not sure if the fish is dipped into water before adding to my soft taco– but it’s worth three dollars

Much ado about nothing. Inexpensive taco’s with lots of lettuce. Nacho’s had minimal meat and the hot and mild sauce seem to have Tabasco sauce as the base. The atmosphere feels disorganized too.

LOVE their food!!! Their guacamole is stellar(and I am a guac snob!). I love the garlic sauce they put in their tacos. I knocked off a point for total lack of ambience.

It’s 10am on Sunday and they can’t bother to be open. Lights on. Doors locked. Sign says open at 8am. Pass.

In laws were in town for the day and wanted some chips and queso at 920pm on a Saturday. They were out of chips and close at 11! The male cashier was apologetic but a warm tortilla isn’t the same as chips. Then the female working on the floor seemed less then thrilled to be there and kept checking her phone. She had started cleaning tables and flipping booth tables to the side while a family was going for one booth she moved the table so they couldn’t sit there. More chip wanting disappointed customers came in but she just kept sweeping while the guy was making drinks and the line was adding up. It’s like like people came in 5 minutes before closing time it was an hour and a half. What’s blatant disregard for customers, she obviously was in a jury to get out at closing. We’ve been in before and had inconsistent services-sometimes the queso had tomatoes and cheese sprinkles on top sometimes just the queso. Looks like we’ll be going to the Westport location from here on out!

Tried it out again since it’s so close to my house. I’ve been to the Manchester location and was really happy when one opened up nearby. They’ve much improved in two areas, professional courtesy at the register and cleanliness of the restaurant. MUCH improved. Acknowledging customers at the pass instead of basically passing the bag over the shoulder would be my next suggestion. Unfortunately the tempura fish taco I had was still slightly subpar. Instead of the small filet I typically get at the other location it was half the size and not much of it was actually fish. The difference is great. It’s not like the other location but maybe they’re getting there.

Been wanting to try this place despite some of the negative reviews. It did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was delicious.(Chips and queso, beef fajita quesadilla, shredded chicken quesadilla, rice, refried beans and black beans). We’ll definitely be back. You should all go

Fast and cheap, but that’s where the real positives end. I got the Chorizo/Egg/Cheese Burrito. It was basically a shredded cheese burrito with a sprinkling of eggs and chorizo. On top of that it was cold. It’s a shame, because I’ve always enjoyed my food at the original location on Watson. It’s like they are working on the cheap because they are close to a college and college kids don’t care. That’s a shame.

We were excited when this location finally opened. Our first time eating there was underwhelming. Orders were wrong and pretty much everything except for the chips with queso & meat wasn’t very good. However, realizing that they are still working things out we waited a couple months and tried it again. Same result. The food just isn’t that good. The staff is nice and helpful though.

Won’t be back. Food: Chicken burrito– large, but not stuffed like chipotle. Also very bland and dry. Chicken tasted and had texture of canned chicken. $ 6.49 Taco plate(1beef 1 chicken) — ehh, not much toppings and chicken was same as burrito… Bland and dry. Mexican rice was bland but decried beans were good. $ 6.49 Chips and queso– cheese has no zip to it. Very bland even with poco in it. $ 3.29 Fuzzy mike(frozen strawberry margarita with vodka and mike hard lemonade) — very good, but expensive! $ 9 Bland bland bland! Food was nothing to rave about and the girl working the register was not friendly. Set up of restaurant was also not good. You can not read the menu from the door and having to go pick up your food and drinks is difficult when they are crowded. Glad we tried it since it is new, but will not be back. The food is much better at chipotle for about the same price. You also don’t have to pay for extras for certain things like you do here.

Imagine this, you’re hungry, and you have a taste for some really good tacos. You look one direction and it’s the national fast food chain that everyone knows isn’t that good but you want it quick. You look another direction and you see the Mexican cantina restaurant and you know it will be good, but you are not trying to go through a sit down dinner… so what’s a taco-loving fool to do: GOTOFUZZY’S TACOSHOP on West Clay that’s what! Upon visiting the former Church’s Chicken establishment that has been remodeled with fresh vibrant colors I couldn’t help but appreciate the warmth and excitement of the front of house staff. I’ve been twice to date, and if I have my way I’m going today as it is TACOTUESDAY! Here’s what I’ve had and my review of each item: BAJA Tempura Fish Taco(soft corn tortilla and hard shell) ONEOF the best if not best fish tacos. Besides the fresh flavors(pico, cilantro, feta. etc) the tempura fish was cooked perfectly and the garlic sauce made it sing, while the house hot sauce had your tongue wagging for more. BAJA Beef Taco: One of the tastiest seasoned ground beef tacos I’ve ever had. There’s one that rivals if not surpasses it, and they’ve yet to move out to St. Chuck, but until they do… FTS will get my pesos for this tasty treat. Baja Brisket & a Spicy Pork Taco — both are pretty good, but the Fish and Beef are just in a wholly different taco league. The seasoning on the Beef and pork reminded me of the Street tacos you’d get in either Mexico or at the El Super Mercado on St. Charles Rock Road on Saturday or Sundays. Lastly I tried the chips and beef queso… here’s my only complaint… I wish you could more chips after you’ve dusted off what they provided(free of charge like at Moe’s) and the queso was REALLYREALLYGOOD, I just wish they gave you about 1−2oz more so that you don’t have dry lonely chips.

Absolutely disgusting location that is an embarrassment to the restaurant industry. Every table was covered in sticky spilled drinks and food that no one was cleaning up. The floor was also covered in spilled drinks and food. I almost slipped and fell twice. The area by the soda machine had ice cubes and spilled drinks on the floor and also very slippery. There was no mat to soak up the liquid and the employees were just looking down and stepping over it instead of cleaning it up. No one cleaning any of the mess up the entire hour I was there. Lawsuit in the making. Queso was cold and upon complaining the employee just apologized and didn’t offer to give warm queso. Tacos had next to nothing on them. The worst dining experience I’ve had in my life and that is saying a lot considering I travel for work and eat out 10 times or more weekly all around the country. Oh and the icing on the cake was that they were using only one register so there was about 30 people in line wrapping all around the inside of the restaurant and I had to eat with random peoples butts right in my face. Classy. EDIT: Went back over a month later to see if it was any better. Nope! It got worse! They only had 1 employee for the ENTIRERESTAURANT. The cook had to come out to take orders and then go back to the kitchen to make them. Unreal. The tacos were still prepared incorrectly and had virtually no toppings and the meat was cold. Management doesn’t care and refuses to replace cold food. Only go here if you want to experience a horrible dining experience and throw your hard earned money away. This franchise owner should be ashamed for dragging the Fuzzys brand name through the mud. Unbelievable.
