Mr Thirsty’s

Never had a good experience here. The bartenders are nice but you can tell it’s fake. I like genuine people but I never feel welcome or appreciated. The drinks and shots I’ve been served were unsatisfactory.
One specific time I can think of, I was in the bar with a couple of friends and you were having a drink and a shot the bartender told us how much it was, once my friend paid– she took the money and we watched her pocket it instead of putting it in the register, stealing from her own bar in front of customers? We won’t be going back! My best friend is a business owner and stuff like this just pisses us off.

I’ve been here multiple times and the service has been ok. On my last visit the bartender over charged me, stating that I had multiple shots when I only had 2 beers. I’ve read other reviews and it seems to be an occurrence of people getting over charged there. Look over your bill!

By far this is one of my favorite watering holes on Main Street in St. Charles. I generally do not eat here so I can’t speak toward their food. Having said that, I have tried their wing sauce outside of their bar on my own food and it was very good!
They generally jammed pack on Friday and Saturday and is the place to be on Main Street. They typically have some live playing music or DJ. If you would rather sit and watch TV while you drink, they have plenty of TVs around the entire place.
One of my favorite drinks to try are their assorted food soaked shots, such as their chilled Pickle Shot, Pepperoncini shot, Jalapenos shot, and Kool-​Aid shot. Drinks are relatively average priced for a bar.

I think their apps are tasty with a good selection of drinks as well. The service I experience is always prompt and friendly. Prices on food is a little steep compared to some other Main Street bars.

From my experience, customers aren’t acknowledged when they walk in. Two times that we wanted to try this place but it took so long to even get service that we had to walk out. Don’t waste your time

Thirsty’s is a pretty basic bar. The food is mediocre and your best drink option is ordering a beer. While I didn’t eat a meal, I did split some fries with the table. I’m not going to speculate that they were frozen, but they were pretty bad. And when you have pretty «bleh» fries, you probably don’t have the best of food. They were carbs and I was craving them so they did the job. The service was good so that was a plus.
I get it St. Charles, you think you’re cool because you still smoke inside. It’s like middle school except you’re all adults and it’s not cool to smoke. Anyways, I’m not interested in the politics of it all… but I wish the business would just not allow smoking on their own volition. It doesn’t go well with food.
When it gets late they start clearing the room out to make space for the insecure college crowd. We got out before they started pouring in around 10ish. This would not be my first choice on Main Street but it could be worse.

I generously gave this 3 stars although i wasn’t impressed.
Maybe it’s me, maybe I’m getting old and don’t appreciate bar food anymore but I wasn’t impressed.
We stopped in for a bite because my mom is hospitalized nearby.
Ordered the combo appetizer, some boneless wings and nachos. Maybe our selection was the result of my rating since in general I don’t care for greasy foods.
Nothing on the menu really jumped out as a must try
The food was your average bar food. Nothing great or worth raving about. I can’t even say our food arrived hot, even though we were in on a Monday evening and they weren’t busy at all.
Our bartender /​server was rather unattentive. We had to get her attention for app plates, napkins, refills and our check. She was much more attentive to the patrons at the bar and the shots she was partaking in.
My siblings tried the «pickle shots» which gave me some entertainment watching as they tried getting them down. Personally I have no interest in pickles, pickled in vodka but it’s definitely different. They have several different «pickled «shot options. All of which would be entertaining to watch someone consume. Just make sure to bring some tums. You may need them if you eat here and or partake in pickled shots.

Watch the bartenders. Apparently if they don’t like your tip (20%) after purchasing one beer they adjust the charge to whatever they want! Food is midocre. Actually liked this bar on main, good music, but once you steal from me I think that’s grounds to say this bar sucks just as much as the rest on main. I won’t spend another dime here — or risk having more of my hard earned money stolen by some low life bartender.

Chicken fried chicken w/​mashed potatoes happy hour special for $ 6.99 or so + some beers, and friendly and prompt service. I had a great time! Tons of TV’s and open space, I got a good impression of the place being a first timer. I’ll be back if I’m in the immediate area.

Awesome service! My drink never got empty! The food was delicious and their fries were amazing! Very attentive staff. Nice and new looking. Will come back!

Love the atmosphere! Pickle shot were on point! Will be back next Thursday. Shots $ 2 after 7pm!

So I have been to Mr. Thirsty’s twice now first time service was ok it took over 20 minutes to be helped and that was frustrating but we waited then the second time we waited 30 minutes for a drink we had to buss are own table to even sit down and we watched two servers ignore us multiple time they helped two tables around us and never acknowledged we were there; so we left and went to another bar. This is a very frustrating thing to me I have worked it the service industry for over 8 years and know it can be hard when its busy but to not even to say sorry we will be with you as soon as we can would have been nice! I will not be back there are plenty of bars to go to on main.

So I have been here now 5 or 6 times. We are always with the same people. EVERY time we’ve been in there is no more than 10 people in the bar, but the service is horrible. 15 – 20 mins for each drink refill, and zero interaction or eye contact in between. Our average tab with us 4 is $ 150-​$ 200. Most of the waitresses can be found in a corner with what appears to be the owner giving massages and talking to a table of their friends. Bartender was solid and the food was pretty good as well. Just the same issue every time in-​POOR floor service. That was our last visit.

I love how clean and new the place is. However, the service is terrible. I’ve been to this bar around 10 times trying to give them a chance to improve considering it is a newer bar. Every freaking time we sit with empty drinks, drinks that were ordered and forgot about, and disappearing waitresses. I feel like the place is begging for me to stop coming. Every time we are there there are only about 5 other customers, tops, and three or so employees who congregate at the bar and chit chat. A drink refill or an order will take about 20 mins. Empty bar should equal excellent service. I saw several patrons leave due to no service or acknowledgment every time I’ve been there and today was no different. I want to keep coming to this bar but at this point I have hit my limits. Every time I come with my friends we spend at least $ 200. So now my friends and I are next door at Big As. Cheers!

We stopped for lunch one Sunday while browsing the downtown district of St Charles. I had a salad with grilled chicken and others had burgers. All very tasty! Small menu but a good variety. Would recommend and would stop back when it the area!

Need a new place on Main Street? Mr. Thirsty’s is your place!
Arrived before an event at the family arena and was greeted by enthusiastic hostesses as well as the atmosphere and inside of the restaurant beautifully decorated with a great vibe. We were seated immediately and our waitress was ever so friendly, making sure to tell us about their specials and what we’d enjoy. We made our drink orders (beers) and settled in to watch many of the numerous televisions displaying different channels.
We ordered our food (classic burger with fries and buffalo chicken wrap with fries) and both came out within a reasonable time. I loved that the wrap was not in a huge tortilla so it didn’t make it seem like you were over eating at your meal. The fries were nice and crispy but I do suggest they add more to the baskets when serving them as it made it look like there was nothing in there.
Price is very reasonable and you’ll most certainly be back for more!

Went here after work with a friend for happy hour. It was a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Price was good too. Will definitely be back ASAP!
