Horrible service! I’m in town with my family and have unfortunately need the care of a physician. I have never dealt with a doctor dismisses her patients needs the way she does. What doctor keeps their patient waiting for days for medicine they need? She won’t return their numerous calls made of a course of 3.5 days, but the nurse finally called the 3rd day and said the pharmacy was suppose to call me with my script which was called in early. Finally in tears I was feeling some relief and anxiety let up that I was finally going to feel better after 2 nights of not sleeping. I went to the pharmacy INPAIN and NOTHING was there! I am now trying to reach the Dr. again for nearly 3 hours… no response. This is ridiculous and HORRIBLE service to your patients who count on you! I will be reporting this to the medical board and would be foolish to rely on such a doctor to perform a major surgery as well as a routine check up on me! I don’t recommend anyone using this doctor.

I hate to be «that person» but here goes… I have been going to Dr. Valerie Nelson Mason for years, she is a very nice woman and has a very calming way of speaking to you… she also has a way of forgetting to call in your prescriptions. Her nurse staff and reception are okay, but not great… The only nurse i have had great experience with was Billy. The lab techs who draw your blood have always been very abrupt and angry(that always makes me nervous) Even though I am sure they are just doing their job, it wouldn’t hurt to say hello back to me when i speak to you, I am always polite to a nurse with a needle. I’m not sure if she accepts a low ball insurance or why she has so many«ratchet» patients but I feel like I’m on an episode of 16 and Pregnant when I’m in her waiting room… one of my last visits I was in the waiting room sitting across from a young woman who was sitting Indian style in the chair and proceeded to belch very loudly and not excuse herself. I have had several horrid experiences at the office, one being that i was pregnant and i went in for a 10 week check up and the nurse had me lay on a table to hear the fetus’s heart beat, we couldn’t hear it and she told me that was Okay, and not to worry… well i started to spot the very next morning… I had miscarried, I then went in a day later for my D&C procedure, I took the day off work, went in to the hospital for the procedure, was hooked up to machines for a good hour and a half waiting to go in for the procedure only to have a nurse come in to tell me that the doctor needed to reschedule to come back the next day. I was furious. I decided to go home and let my body run it’s course(bad idea). i landed myself in the hospital the next morning and it took the doctor hours to come to me… On another note… my last visit was the final straw… I was 15 minutes early for my appointment and there was not a single soul in the waiting room and i still have to wait about 20 minutes after my scheduled time to go in and be seen(totaling 35 minute wait). I was called back and was not asked to give a urine sample before being seen(which was unusual to me) but i had to use the ladies room because i had consumed 8 ounces of water knowing that i would probably have to give a sample of my urine… after i used the ladies room. i went in the exam room and the nurse told me she needed a urine sample… SERIOUSLY??? So i chugged 5 glasses of water… Doctor Comes in the room to tell me that we’re not going to have my follow up from a biopsy because something about a new study proves that it only needs to be done once a year… I came in here for you do turn me away? Okay, whatever… finally i am given a specimen cup and do my business and place my cup in the double sided window from the bathroom to the lab for pregnancy result’s then proceed to the counter to schedule my next apt or do whatever and they ask for my copay(isn’t that done before I’m seen??) i tell the receptionist that there was no procedure done and the doctor just talked to me… she gave me a confused look and said«Well insurance companies say that if you walk in the door you pay us!» i gave her my card. I ask if I’m supposed to wait in the waiting area for my results from my urine sample… the same receptionist looked at me puzzled and said«You’re good…» WTF does that mean? Time for a new doctor… If only the doctor herself was more available and has a better staff i would stay because she is very easy to be relaxed with.
