Schnucks

I ordered a boutonnière and corsage about 10 days in advance of my parents’ 60 wedding anniversary in person at the florist @ this location. On the pick-​up date there were no flowers and no paperwork for my order! I was frustrated as I had enough to do that day and felt I had avoided any mishaps like this by ordering in person. Fortunately, the florist working that day said she could make them up in about 20 minutes. I told her I would come back and pick the flowers up on my way to the party. When I arrived to pick them up they were perfect but I asked to speak to the store manager. I explained what had happened and asked the if I could get a discount for my trouble. The mgr offered to give me a couple of «sorry bucks», you can use them just like cash in the store. I didn’t feel that was adequate for my inconvenience but didn’t have time to discuss it as I had a 25 minute drive ahead of me. Just feeling a bit disappointed by my local Schnucks.

Schnucks is reliable and I am never disappointed. When I come here I know that I am going to be able to find what I need and where it is located in the store. There is a nice selection of produce, fresh meats and sea food. The wine selection is pretty vast for a grocery store. There is almost a whole isle dedicated to wine. If you can’t find something you like you might be too picky or have really expensive taste. The cost goes from inexpensive to moderate. I don’t think I have seen anything over $ 35 or so. If beer is what you are looking for there is a decent selection with most standards and a few gems. The liquor selection is solid as well.
The patrons are mostly fine, but I avoid going when I know families will be there because kids tick me off when their parents don’t control them. Plus I hate it when the isles jam up because some idiot doesn’t understand flow. Move your damn cart so someone can get through! Why can’t some people just pay attention? Rant over.
This store is open until midnight or so and I can get what I need pretty much when I need it. The store is clean and the staff is nice. I come here on a frequent basis and the checks know my face.
The floral department is good too. If you are looking for an arraignment they have an variety in the cooler waiting for you. If you need a quick bouquet on the go, they have a nice selection. If you want to put something together yourself, go nuts. I like the roses because they seem to last and the daisies too. They also offer delivery.
I like this location a lot.
