I am in love with the cheese curds here. If you ask me, they are the best cheese curds you can find anywhere. They’re not what you expect because they don’t even look like your typical cheese curds. They are so well prepared! Not too fatty/deep fried. They look like blocks of heavenly cheese, and come in two different kinds of cheese.
I like to come here to grab a drink every once in awhile too. I’m not the biggest fan of beer, but this place is notorious for a wide selection of beers. I did try the beer sampler where you can pick 4 and try them. I did enjoy that.
Boulder Tap House has a fun feel, and is the place to go if you’re looking to hang out with friends and get a bite to eat!

There’s a lot of TVs here (more than I’ve ever seen at any other restaurant) with all different kinds of sports on. If that is your thing it’s really nice because you don’t need to turn your head and hurt your neck to see what your friends are talking about on the screen. Chances are there’s a TV with the same channel on in your point of view!
The staff was very friendly and efficient. The servers all seemed to work as a team and things came out promptly even though it was fairly busy.
On the other hand, the food was subpar. I had a «build your own burger» so I had to pay extra for my side of fries, and the amount they gave me was very small. They were room temperature and slightly soggy. The ranch flavoring on them was pretty good, though.
No one at my table ordered any drinks, but a few of them on the menu caught my eye. I will probably go back to give the alcohol a try.

In my earlier review, I spoke of the noise level. Recently, The Boulder Tap House opened a patio. I’m happy to report that those desiring a bit quieter place to visit, will thoroughly enjoy the patio. It offers some nice sun, or shade, as well as the great food you’ve come to expect from the Tap House — delicious wings, burgers, and who can forget their cheese curds. For about $ 10, you can have their special — which includes a classic burger, fries, and a shake or malt. You can’t go wrong.
I’m always amazed at how many people are at this restaurant when I go. It’s a popular hangout.
