Great food, every time. Great service! Fantastic staff! Compliments to the chef! Be sure to stop in this family owned establishment and enjoy a drink at the bar and any delicious selection on the menu. Our favorites: chicken tortilla soup, fish fry, duck, pork chops, and their home-made margaritas.

This restaurant is flippin great! Brenda’s passion and excitement makes it THAT much more amazing. The food is fresh, unique, but still has a home-cooked meal feel. The soup and salad steps things up a notch, making it an even nicer meal. I saw something I really wanted on the menu(Pork Schnietzel), but don’t eat anything except chicken. Our served said they’d substitute and didn’t make me feel like a pain at all AND the result was deeee-licious! We’ve been there 2 nights in a row and it’s consistently superb!

I have been to Idlewile multiple times, but this last time was the best. I had their famous pecan crusted chicken(for the second time), and it was even better than I remembered. My Dad had it too and had never had it before, and he is still raving about it several days later. The service is always great, and the staff at Idlewile is always friendly and fun to talk to. Looking forward to my next trip back!

Love this place. Always feel welcome and get great service at the bar and in the restaurant. Never left this place feeling bad about the 30 mile drive.

Always a great meal and great service. Truly a small town supper club experience. The main dishes are always amazing but also the side are top notch.

Ended up at the Idlewile on Superbowl Sunday by chance after another restaurant was closed unexpectedly. Must have been divine intervention: The food here was top-notch and the service was friendly and attentive. Two of us had bone-in Sirloin with a Gorgonzola butter on top. My steak was slightly overdone(ordered Medium but this is a very minor criticism) but the other was perfect. The two other entrees, Pecan encrusted Chicken and a potato encrusted salmon were delish! The chicken is a signature dish of the Inn, and got rave reviews from my dining companion. Each dinner came with soup, salad and freshly baked bread and the soups were exceptional. I heartily recommend the chicken enchilada soup, which is another house specialty. We will be back soon for sure.

A local took my girlfriend and I here when we were visiting during the Thanksgiving holiday week. She seemed excited to take us here and I was getting the impression it was one of the few respectable restaurants in the area. We order a couple cocktails as we look over the menu. Typical midwestern service which is attentive, friendly and respectable. I ordered the roast half duck which has a raspberry glaze and comes with the chicken enchilada soup and salad with blue cheese. I was able to get the blue cheese as creamy and chunky which was an added bonus. The meal itself was $ 19.99, which to me is about as valuable as you will find anywhere. The soup was creamy and tasty. You had the choice of the chicken enchilada or beef barley, but it was recommended by my friend to get the former. The salad was of a respectable portion with copious amounts of both creamy and chunky blue cheese. Excellent. The duck roast duck was slightly overdone but still good. Raspberry sauce was good and mild. Overall for this price we were impressed, especially for being in small town Wisconsin and I would recommend for anyone to try. We also went to the bar after for a couple drinks. A decent grasshopper from the bartender who had a hilarious Wisconsin accent and a friendly personality to go with it. I’m a fan.

4.5 stars Definitely one of my favorite places in Wisconsin for Friday night fish fry. Their bluegill is lightly fried, delicate and delicious — hard to beat the perch at the Villager in Sheboygan Falls — but this might be the place — their fries are delicious and the cole slaw is outstanding. Onion rings are outstanding as well. Great beers on tap and friendly service. The cream of mushroom soup(the mushrooms are grown by a family member that has a mushroom farm) with wild rice, was also outstanding… St Cloud’s population is only 506 people — and it certainly is a small town — but Idlewile delivers big — and is certainly worth the trip. Extremely friendly service and small town atmosphere.
