Love this place! I finally have the secret recipe down! The trick is to put the noodles on last and use a lot of garlic ;). So delicious and decent prices too.

Hey All, Great food, great price. I love watching people stack food precariously high in their bowl. I use a small bowl and keep it simple with the ingredients. Enjoy Joe PS … If you’re driving through Hurricane, UT, fill up here so you don’t find yourself accidentally sitting in the worst restaurant in all of Utah … Barista /El Travotore

I’ll have to say that the staff are very friendly and I even had the lady look at my palm and give me a little fortune. She told me I worked in an office(accurate) and that I had a long lifeline and would only be married once. That could be accurate as I have not been married yet and I’m 54. The food was good. I suggest the medium sized bowl. You choose your meat and veggies and put as much as you can cram into your bowl. Put the noodles on last as that will help keep your goodies all together. Use a separate bowl to put your sauces into so you’ll have more flavor as it gets cooked into while it’s on the grill. They didn’t have bean sprouts or tofu! The free soup was good and also comes with white rice. The décor could use updating as some others have mentioned. The bathrooms could be cleaned more often. But you mostly come for the food, not the décor right?

I am a meat snob and admit I am pickier than anybody I know about the flavor of lesser quality meat. That would be my only complaint. Most people wouldn’t even notice. But we came in with six adults and eleven young children. Their hospitality was beyond anything we have ever experienced. Instead of rolling their eyes at the mess and possibility of noise, they helped, accommodated, and even gave the kids beginner chopsticks and origami animals to take home. We will be back next time we are in town!

Incredible service! And for people who have had Mongolian BBQ in Boise/Meridian/Eagle, it’s the same extended family that runs this place! Very friendly people here

Great spot and a unique place to visit while in the area or driving through. Nice healthy food cooked right in front of you. Let the cooks/staff make the sauces for you as they know how to prepare them. Friendly service.

Was in St. George for our anniversary and decided to try this place. Love this place the food is excellent. The décor is «ok». But what do you expect from a «mom and pop» place. It wasn’t dirty like some of the reviews said. I don’t judge a place by how it looks but rather the food and service. We will most certainly be back. And from my experience when it come to oriental food the mom and pop places are the best.

Loved this place. Reminded my of another I use to go to in Rockland County NY. We really enjoyed their food and watching them cook it. They do need to redecorate though. PS: Make sure you fill up you bowl until it can’t old anymore! We did not know this and short changed ourselves. Live and learn.

I’ve been several times and love this place! Make sure you put plenty of sauce, and ask for guidance from the staff of you are unsure what to do in preparing your bowl. They have always been super friendly and personable to me. Tip: If you want peanuts then put them in your bowl first(along with other small items). Save the noodles for last and you’ll fit a lot more in your bowl because they stick together and don’t fall off!

The food was meh, definitely have had better Mongolian BBQ at the mall food court in Burbank, CA. The meat and veggie line was sloppy with food, scattered everywhere. The waitress came to wipe down our table and it left this dirty wet rag smell. Just did not feel clean.

Whenever passing through St. George it is a must for my wife to come and eat here. She’s ate here since her college days and has yet to find another Mongolian BBQ as good, flavor wise. I have a hard time when it comes to putting a decent bowl together, but thankfully the staff here know what’s up. When in doubt, ask for help! I always short change myself with the stuff that goes in the bowl, so make sure to load it up!(You should need a construction crane to move from station to station) I leave the sauce to the experts. I asked for a medium-hot sauce and it was spot on. AMAZING flavor. I wish I would’ve paid more attention to the chef’s combination. Okay, the appearance of the place. Sure it’s not a sparkling gem. But that’s what you get when you have a small, non-chain, most likely family run business. Great food, unique service(I love the lady who makes the paper cranes! What a character) and great value. If your in the mood for picking on smaller mom and pop shops for not being able to keep up with multi-million dollar chains, go elsewhere and let this place shine for its food and service. Keep up the good work as we will be sure to stop again soon!

Okay, I love the Mongolia BBQ! The food here is good in my opinion. They seem to have fresh veggies and meat for your stir fry. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only problem I have is the place looks like a dive. It seems to be a standard among these types of restaurants. The food is good enough I’d over look the décor and cleanliness and give it a try!

…so you tell me how this works… cutting slices of meat from a frozen slab and throwing it on the grill… when work day done just throw it back in the freezer… works great for the bus loads of Asian tourists they feed here… how about you… hmmmm…

Everyone who works there is super nice and the place is a well-oiled machine. Agreed, it’s pretty grungy and could use a lot of improvements, but if you can look past the grime and appreciate the experience, you’ll be happy with your meal. The vegetable, meat, noodle and sauce spread was super impressive. Everything looked fresh and I would think it would be tough to make a bad bowl. We will go back!

Very good selection of items and a friendly staff. Not the fanciest place in town, but the taste and the value for the money is right up there with the best of ‘em.

The food is good. But how can it not be… You pick everything that goes into it. All they do is cook it. Lol They need to invest in new tables, chairs and flooring… They are showing their age with all the wear & tear. Also, the bathroom needs attention and hot water. Otherwise, this place is good and they are friendly!

Traveling from northern CA, close to SF where I often enjoy great Chinese food. This place is a great find in southern Utah. And no, it’s not SF Chinese food and no it isn’t «pretty» like Wolfgang pucks, Panda Express or any of those other gawd awful places but the food is solid and service surprisingly great. If I’m back in the area, I’ll be back!

The food is excellent! And the service is fantastic! You get so much food that you basically take home a second meal for later, it’s wonderful. This is definitely my new favorite lunch spot.

Often, I have to remind myself that not all Asian restaurants are going to be clean and spotless, and service is going to be straightforward and less on the personable side. Mongolian BBQ is an example of all of that. Ambiance — Stepping in, you’re hit with that familiar«Chinese restaurant» aroma that makes mouths water — well, makes mine water. It may smell good, but the establishment is an eyesore with aging carpet, dreary walls, and dining chairs with taped up cushions. There’s also a bunch of random crap scattered throughout, such as flannel fabric samples from the early 90’s and old water coolers. Trails of crumpled napkin balls can also be found along the wall near the cooking station. Food — The bowls were wet and many didn’t look clean. I took my chances anyway and selected the cleanest«Small Khan» bowl I could find and went down the buffet line. The veggies were browning, and knowing that there were trays of frozen raw meat for everyone’s picking made me feel uncomfortable. At least the combination of ingredients I chose turned out well, though, not the best I’ve had and definitely not worth the price. Service — Awkward. Our waitress would speak softly and finish her sentence while walking away. Overall — Never coming back.

What an interesting and delicious place! Here, you are given the choice of 3 sizes of bowls, then you go down this«assembly line» of vegetables and meats and pack in as much food as your bowl can handle. At the end of the line, you can choose which sauces to pour onto your treasure. Then you wait for one of two cooks to stir-fry your bowl of concoctions. The end result is just wonderfully delicious! Your meal comes with a small bowl of rice, and you can also have another bowl of rice if you want. For dessert, they offer the usual fortune cookie. There is an interesting elderly lady there who helps to clear off the tables, helps the customers pour their left-overs into the familiar Chinese«to-go» box, and helps arriving customers to their table. She makes a head-turning noise as she helps with the food — it’s a cross between a chicken and a cat. I couldn’t figure out which animal it sounded like, but it was definitely a combination of chicken noises and cat noises. Such a fascinating place… full of hustle and bustle and probably akin to a real Chinese restaurant in China(although this is just a guess, since I’ve never been to China). Hubby said he’d like to go back there again!
