Amizetta is an amazing little winery– we were fortunate enough to have this place recommended to us by our tour guide when we had some friends in town, and it is truly a gem. It’s a hike to get to their place, up a windy road on the mountain, but when you get there the view alone would make it worth going! Inside, the manager is a hoot to talk to and knows her stuff, and we were lucky enough to meet one of the sons who’s dad started the vineyards years ago. The tour gave us a history of the place, and we got to check out their wine cave with an enormous wine barrel in the back– Absolutely awesome! Oh, and the wines were great. We didn’t expect to walk out with more than a bottle perhaps, but wound up getting about 7! I highly recommend their estate Cab– being grown on the mountain it’s definitely different than the valley Cabs, the differences in micro-climates make it unique and delicious. We live in Napa, and this place is on our regular list now!

Amizetta is seriously the best winery I have ever been to. The views are spectacular and the company is superb! We stopped by on a whim about a year ago. After a pretty crazy drive up the mountain, we finally got to the winery. Unfortunately, we didn’t expect it would be appointment only for tastings. Eddie was nice enough to let us have a few tastings of wine and just said«screw it» and took us for the whole shebang tour. All the wine they had to offer was just amazing. Eddie was an awesome guide and gave us the whole history of the vineyard. We love that it is family owned and run. Makes me kinda wish I was part of that family! This year we put Amizetta at the top of our visit list. Spencer greeted us right when we arrived.(We were about 20 minutes late, but we called to inform them.) The tour was just as great as we remembered and it was really cool to meet the other brothers, Spencer and Perry. Lucy was a sweetheart too. Also, their childhood home is the first thing you see when you pull up and park. How amazing is that? Hands down the best winery and experience we have ever had!!!

Amizetta was awesome. The view while you’re tasting the wine is UNREAL, the wine is amazing as well! I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for an exclusive spot that’s quiet and peaceful.

Amizetta was our first stop of the day, and I wish I made it our last because it was such a spectacular tasting. The drive up the mountain is fun. You are going waaaaay up and the payoff is the view, the wine and the experience. The view at the winery is second to none. You can check out the cave as well. The cabs are delicious and Georgia’s hospitality is amazing. I could hang out up there all day. Make sure you call to get a reservation because you will not want to miss this place.

If you venture down Conn Valley Road past Seavey Vineyard, turn onto Greenfield Road, and go all the way to the top, and by all the way to the top, I mean ALLTHEWAYTOTHETOP, you will discover perhaps Napa Valley’s best kept secret, Amizetta Estate Winery. As you enter the gated property, do not stop at the small house on the left, as family still lives there, but continue to the VERYTOP, where you will discover Amizetta’s sloping vineyards, tasting room, production area, and barrel cave, as well as the most amazing view in Napa Valley, which overlooks Lake Hennessey. Like Seavey, Amizetta has a long history, founded in 1979 by Spencer and Amizetta McFadden Clark, both with Texas ranching and farming experience. Their sons, Perry(President), Edward(Winemaker), and Spencer Jr.(Vineyard Manager and Tour Guide), have taken the helm of the day-to-day operations of the winery, and are creating exceptional, Napa Valley wines made to be consumed sooner rather than later. The winery produces grapes and wines for other wineries, as well as award-winning wines under their own label, including Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, a Bordeaux-style red blend called Complexity, and also a Merlot, which was already sold out when I visited. The winery has wine clubs as well, a Reserve Wine Club(two cases per year) and a Case Club(one case per year). Our tour of the winery included a visit to the patio and gardens overlooking Lake Hennessey, the production area, and their beautiful barrel cave. Tastings and tours at Amizetta are also by appointment only and are $ 50 per person. They also accept helicopter tours.

This is my favorite vineyard. Small family owned outfit provides personalized attention to guests. Quirky British tour guide provides laid back laughs. Views are astounding. Plan to take lunch and hang out at tables there. Good times. Someone arranged our tour, so I don’t think it is a place you just show up at, but rather schedule your visit.

We were advised to add this winery to our itinerary by our driver, Mike Butler, and it was well worth the trip up the mountain. The scenery is priceless from atop the winery looking over Lake Hennessey. We were greeted by Spencer who wasted no time in making sure we had samples of his family’s hard work and dedication over a period of decades. We were impressed with the cutting edge technology used by the brothers in continuing their family tradition, as well as, the cave built into the mountain. Highly recommend putting this atop your winery tour list.

This was by far me and my 2 girlfriends favorite winery of the 2 days we were in Napa. This is a bit of a trek but it is so worth it, not only are the views fantastic the wines are wonderful. We were all pleased with every taste. All 3 of us joined the wine club and brought bottles home with us. We got history on the wines and the family and Spencer was very easy to talk to and ask questions. LOVELOVELOVE!!!

Visited here with 3 friends. We were welcomed by Perry who told us that we would be the only ones there tasting. He told us a bit about the history of the winery and then took us in to the barrel room. Because it was such a beautiful day, we went back out to the hilltop seating and tasted some fantastic wine overlooking the Napa Valley and Lake Hennessy. We all liked the Sauv Blanc, and we are mostly red drinkers. Their Complexity and Estate Cabernet Sauvignon are fabulous! We ended up buying a case to have shipped home. Since we bought wine, tasting fee was waived. This winery is out of the way, but it is a beautiful drive up and so worth the drive! Make an appointment to go here. You won’t be disappointed.

This winery is becoming one of my favorite places on earth. I’ve visited twice now, the second time was with a group of eight girlfriends. It was the first of three stops of our day, and it was easily our favorite. The view of Lake Hennessy, Napa Valley and the surrounding hills is intoxicating(not to mention, so is their wine). From the friendly and personable Clark brothers(Thanks Perry and Spencer) to the lovable and playful winery dogs, it is hard not to fall in love with this place. A great location, wonderful people, delicious wine, an incredible story. Seriously, make a point to visit Amizetta. You won’t be disappointed.
