Skinny’s Texaco

Imagine my surprise when acting upon a tip I heard while eavesdropping on a conversation at Safeway, that I would actually have a delicious dinner at a gas station. I have to add here that my BF and I have been living in St. Helens since April not too far down the street and had never even stopped in for gum or let alone gas. Anyway, was craving fried chicken and remember overhearing that Skinny’s had good fried chicken. Little did I know that they only serve chicken tenders, but these chicken tenders are HUGE!!! No chicken little here folks. I could only eat 2 and a few JoJos and was stuffed. Cooked perfectly and lightly battered. Giving 4 stars because the JoJos were average. The place was hoppin on a Friday night and there is also a Skippers there with seafood choices. While waiting for my tenders, I spied that they have growlers to go and an area with taps housing micro brews. Will be back for sure to investigate that and get some growlers to go. Check it out…

They have normal service station gas. They have all types of snacks, soda, coffee also have food to go like pizza whole or by the slice. The people who work there are very friendly just like a small town neighborhood. Some. times parking spaces are full but not that bad
