Bb & Gg Farms & Nursery

Pretty nice to come for fall pumpkin picking. Not the biggest field but they do have a lot of pumpkins and gourds. They also have a small selection of Halloween decorations as well as pies and cookies. Prices aren’t too horrendous for pumpkins. I bought two nice sized ones for $ 20. Only ripoff was the hay ride for $ 5 and it was about 3 minutes long. They also have a corn maze for $ 5. Buy a combo ticket for $ 8. Not the best but it’s still a nice place to come. They also have a pretty large fruit and veggie stand with all local produce. Pricey but the selection is great.

I have been eyeing on this place for a while now. I pass BB and GG on the way to and from school every day. The Nursery is huge, and has a very wide variety of plants to choose from! First thing I did was ask if they took debit. They take Visa or MasterCard. Good to go! Grabbed a wagon and wheeled around for a good half hour grabbing whatever plant I thought was pretty. I bought two banana plants, some azaleas, and a few other plants. The one thing I didn’t like that was there weren’t prices anywhere to be found, so I was picking up plants not knowing what I was going to be spending. The plants were a little pricey, but their plants seem healthy, so we’ll see if they last a long time. It was a fun half hour looking at all of the different plants! I will be back soon for some herbs and produce!

I love BB & GG. They have been around for as long as I remember.
I remember the days where my mom used to take me here & I’d have to stay pinned up against the car until she was ready to go picking out produce. I say I was pinned up against the car cause it was along the more windier stretch of 25A going into Head of the Harbor/​St. James/​Stony Brook and sometimes cars are zooming along that stretch.
The farm stand is of decent size. The nursery is HUGE! I mean HUGE!!!
When we goto the farm stand we usually get: tomatoes, corn on the cob, and beets.
So if you wanna avoid heading out east for produce & you’re in the Smithtown/​Stony Brook area come here. I highly recommend it!
