My barber of 7 years retired last month so I’ve been looking around for a new place, saw this shop based on Unilocal reviews and gave it a shot… and was not disappointed. Excellent work from Alex. Will definitely come back soon

Best barber shop around! Originally been going there since I have lived in Smithtown for basically 20ish years. Moved not too long ago to Patchogue and STILL make the drive out there to get my haircut every 2 weeks. Great pricing, great environment, great people, fast service but, precise cuts! Eddy gives the best fades around! 100% recommend this barber shop. P. S.DONOT mistake this amazing«new school» barber shop for that junky«old school» barber shop down the street :)

Went there yesterday for a flat top. Eddie was very precise. He stopped several times to have me check his work. A few modifications and I was done. I told him what I wanted but he also gave me his advice which I appreciated. Great conversationalist. I’m originally from Queens so we talked about my old stomping grounds. Definitely would recommend this shop.

At the Saint James Barber Shop Eddy and Danny are two of the finest barbers you will find. Not only good barbers good people as well. They both know all the latest hair styles and cut hair from toddlers to seniors. No appointments necessary at this barber. The shop is centrally located on Lake Ave next to Patio Pizza. Parking is available in this strip mall. Parking is somewhat limited. It’s always better to get a haircut early when they open or mid afternoon before the local schools let out. I have been getting my haircut(what’s left of it) from Eddie for the last fifteen years. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. My sons continue to get haircuts there as well. The shop is clean and updated with 4 barbers working at once. There are plenty of magazines to read and a huge flat screen television to watch Eddy and Danny are very popular with people here in Saint. James. Always remember cash only at this barber shop. Lastly just an FYI don’t confuse this shop with Tom’s barber shop further up on Lake Avenue.

I’ve been a customer of Eddie’s for about 15 years. Even though I live in NYC now, I still make it a point to get a haircut when I visit. The guys at St James Barbershop run a clean and family friendly establishment with a nice TV to watch while you’re waiting and plenty of magazines to flip through. I’m always happy with the haircuts I get, and will continue to be a life long customer and friend. Thank you to the whole crew at St James Barbershop!!!

As the original poster said, an old school barber shop. Tom is just as famous for his clogs as well as his ability to remember how to cut customers hair. I have not been there in years but it was always a pleasure there.

Old school barber shop. Been there since beginning of time. When you walk in, there is absolutely not one thing there that would indicate you are not there in the 1960s. Tom, the barber there has been there for probably that long. His picture on his haircutting license looks like it is from the 1960s and he is from Finland. Real local establishment, $ 10 haircuts. Does not get any better than this.
