Even when I move about 30 minutes away, I still drive back here to get my manicures and pedicures! It’s $ 50 for a full UV gel set, and $ 35 for a fill in, but they do a great job and I love how clean everything is. Make sure to get a rewards card if you are a loyal customer!

Loved this place at first bc I thought they used new nail tools for each customer. I figured because of that, it was worth the more expensive price. As I was at the drying station however, I noticed they have a sink in the back where they just rinse off your old tools and put them in packages and seal them to make u think they are brand new! How insane. Plus, last time I went for a pedicure they did not touch or massage the bottom of my feet once, and unless you get a manicure, you don’t get a free shoulder massage. A guy comes around with a timer while you are drying your nails and you have to pay. Decent job with the polish, but not worth price for sure. Won’t be coming back.

This place is awesome! They always take their time and provide the best service and are truly artists. I have been to many other salons for gel manicures and this is the best. Amazing massage and special pedicures as well. Recommend 100%

Went with my friend for the first time. Loved the gel manicure that John and Joanne gave to us. This place is super clean and very nice staff. One of the best manicures/​pedicures I have ever gotten! Would recommend this place to anyone, I am very picky about where I get my nails done.

Really enjoy my experience here. The gel comes out so beautiful! I like the gel polish thick, and they do just the right amount of layers. Love it!

WORST NAIL SALON I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!! I have never been to this Yumi location in St james and I plan on NEVER coming back! I usually go to Yumi in Stonybrook and never had a problem. I just went to the St James location with two girlfriends today to get a mani pedi. The girl“Ashley” was the girl doing my nails. First She was very impatient when I was trying to find a paint color I liked. She then took me to the pedicure chair and put my feet in boiling hot water. She then used the instrument to push back my cuticles and cut my big toe badly and was bleeding all over. She put some kind of clotting medicine on it which didn’t work. Finally after 10 minutes it stopped bleeding and she then proceeded to use nail polish remover on the cut! I have been getting my nails done for years and I have never had such a bloody and painful experience at a nail salon. Not once did she say she was sorry. She was careless doing my gel manicure, I think my 5 year old cousin could of done it better. I hope I don’t get an infection from this place!!! STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Oh and it was $ 50. Rip off !!

I stopped in here because I was in the area for something else and had some time to kill and I was in need of a pedicure.
The fact that a manicure/​pedicure was $ 30, almost made me leave but I figured ahhh what the heck this place is gorgeous and this is the grand opening so they were running a special of 20% off. Everything is new and crisp.
I was greeted and taken of by «Lena» who was super friendly and sweet. It was a really great experience. I have never seen such a hygienic place before… they actually line the pedicure sinks with plastic disposable liners and use brand new filing tools fresh from a sealed package on everyone– and the best part of that? They let you take them home and if you do not want them they throw them out. This explains the $ 30 mani pedi. Ok by me because what kind of deal is it if it comes with fungus. I will pay extra for immaculate and sterile all day.
The massage on my legs was excellent, she was very detailed about the entire process. At the end she actually put a paraffin dip on my heels (its a melted wax that shapes to the foot hot and softens as it cools) Apparently that is standard for any pedicure in this place. Now THAT was enough to make it worth it for me to drive that far again. I didn’t plan on it but Now I have too. I really wanted to hate you Yumi’s…but I just cant, your too damned good and now I will have to drive 23.2 minutes for this.
They offer additional spa services in here as well. They all speak fluent clear english so if thats your native tongue there will be little confusion and lots of pleasant chit chat if you like because they are very nice but extremely professional. Parking is ample.
