I would give 0 stars if I could. Being in the industry I know and expect good service when I’m giving my business. The lady with the crazy colored hair was so completely unprofessional and rude. Not to say she needs to be entertaining and hysterical, but a little respect and common courtesy goes a long way. Compared to last year, the cookies were way overpriced. I’m never coming back. I can overlook prices when it’s worth it, but when you’re rude and offer no customer service; it’s a clear deal breaker. Sad to see such a great place with such a poor staff.

I’ve been here several times. The food is excellent and the service is usually good, until this morning when I went in. The server was so rude. And then after she rudely took my order and rudely took my money, I stood waiting for her to bag my items. She just stared at me and said, «You’re done now.» Seriously, so rude. I don’t care if they don’t give bags, but she could’ve acted like she appreciated my business. She didn’t have a name tag on but she was just awful. I’ll never go back, but if you don’t mind getting talked to like you’re a piece of human garbage, the food is tasty!

Delicious! I’ve come here many times to bring donuts and pasties to my sweet tooth co-workers. Their coffee cake is so good, the pastry is soft and tender, flaky and buttery. The fillings are very tasty, cream cheese is prob my fav, but the almond fillings are good too. I wish there was a bit more raspberry in the raspberry almond, but still good. The donuts are so fresh and soft, they are still good the next day. The Boston cream filling is to die for! The maple bacon is great although the sugar hurt my teeth, but that’s not really their fault since in have sensitive teeth! The almond bear claw is perfection. I am hopelessly sad they don’t make the crème brûlée donut anymore. That was my fav! The brownies are great soft and fudgy, wrapped individually, which helps avoid those gross crusty edges. The bacon brownie is so yum. I couldn’t taste the raspberry swirl in the raspberry truffle brownie which was sad, but at least the brownie still tasted good. I hear they make soup in the winter, which i look forward to. I have only tried one gluten free item, but it was just ok. Mostly b/c it was a cake donut with crunchy edges. The flavor and texture was good, but i prefer soft yeast donuts over cake, sooooo…

I’ve had plenty of their donuts and bear claws, which are so delicious! Oh, and those melt-in-your-mouth boxed turtle cookies? INCREDIBLE! So yummy. Alas, I’m not a fan of their brownies, as they seem almost raw in the middle. But the sweet rolls and cookies? Soooo good!

I had one of their brownies at a farmer’s market and I was not impressed. It was later in the day and I didn’t care for the texture. It was a little dry but that could be that it was sitting out for a bit. That being said I went to the physical location that is exactly where Christina’s Bakery was(still miss them) and checked it out. Their selection was not too bad but their gluten free section is amazing!!! I was really impressed with the amount! I bought a chocolate glazed yeast doughnut. It was 75 cents of AWESOME! It was really dense but still doughy and had a nice glaze. I really enjoyed that and will be back!

I know this is late, but better late than never. Ordered by daughters wedding cake from them. She went in and showed them pictures and colors of what she wanted. They seems very knowledgeable. It was a basic 3 layer(level) wedding cake. I asked for a «damask» type of print, and gave them samples of the colors(fall colors) that we wanted. When the cake arrived(day of wedding) the decoration looked like a 10 year old(and a not to talented one at that) decorated the cake. It was nothing like what we ordered. Colors and design were incorrect. Because it was 2 hours till the ceremony, not much could be done really. The fortunate thing was the cake was cut at the start of the reception, so not many people had to see it and wonder«what were they thinking»? Have to say, it was a very good tasting cake, but seriously, for the price you pay, there is no WAY I would ever recommend using them ever again.

Stopped in today to use my Groupon for made without gluten goodies. The owner was very knowledgable about what I could and could not have. I ended up with a Three Cheese Panini and a Triple Chocolate Brownie. Wow! Both were extremely good. Like«lick the container they come in» good. The prices seemed fair for gluten free in this area.

Made from scratch everyday! Amazing! I have been here a few times. What this place offers is that old school Chicago style bakery. Some items you need to phone in advance to order. But it is fresh when you get it, so it is a win win! It’s a small shop in a strip mall, but delivers great baked goods!

I had a horrible experience at this local bakery. As a bride-to-be, I knew exactly how I wanted my cake to look and taste. At my cake tasting, I was greeted by friendly staff who was more than willing to let me try whatever I desired(even making a special item per my request). On paper, everything looked great: my design, the cake flavors, the price. I went to a wedding two weeks prior to mine, and the bride had used the same bakery. Needless to say, the cake was hideous– it looked like fungus was growing up the cake, which was also lopp-sided and unevenly frosted. The cake showed up as the guests were being seated for the ceremony(at the reception site), and the individuals delivering it were in filthy clothes and had horrible body odor. The cake tasted decent at most. Fast-forward to a week before my wedding. My husband to be went to the bakery to voice our concerns, and the owner admitted to the cake looking like a disaster as well as breaking their cardinal rule of only contracting two cakes/weekend(they did 3). They repeatedly told us our cake would be perfect. Fast-forward to my wedding day: After the ceremony I see my sisters(maids of honor) frantically texting. I ask them what is wrong, and they inform me that the cake and taffy apples(which served as escort cards) were not at the reception site. Let me remind you that I had specifically went over times with the owners, who put my mind at ease by telling me that everything would be set up by 11AM. It was 4:30 and there was still nothing at the reception site. After my mother and my mother in law went to the reception site and to the bakery, they luckily tracked down the owner. They rushed to the reception site to finish decorating the cake(the cake had finally made it, but it was undecorated). The taffy apples were not in their bags and the leaves(which I had hole-punched/written the guest names on/tables) were not attached. My mother and mother in law(who should have been able to enjoy this time and greet guests) were frantically bagging apples and tieing leaves. When our mothers went to the bakery to return the cake stand and confront them about the issues we had, they had nothing to say, were extremely rude, and did nothing to resolve the anger and frustration we all felt. I would not recommend this bakery to anyone. In fact, I will continue to make it a point to warn brides not to use them; so they can be saved the hassel and stress I(and my family) went through on my wedding day.

Just passing along an update for Branya’s post-wedding. Our wedding was on a Sunday in September, and Branya’s delivered. Everything went as expected: we had 150 cupcakes in 3 flavors, and a small topper cake to cut. The colors were exactly what I ordered, and the cup cakes turned out wonderful.(We did not have any left at the end of the night) Our topper arrived safely, and everything was set up and staged in time. Many of our guest complimented the cake and frosting as well. I also have to give props to the owners for being super flexible and kind. Every time I went into the bakery, they were very helpful and went along with my ideas. They are also generous in letting you try their other amazing sweets. I’m so glad I picked this bakery — they did a great job!

BOTTOMLINE: DONOTGOHEREFORWEDDINGCAKES!!! SERIOUSLY!!! PLEASEDON’T DOIT!!! At my consultation, everything was great. The owner seemed eager to please. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my wedding cake and wanted her to tweek it a bit. She did a drawing and explained it in great detail. I thought, Yes! She knows exactly what I want! Now fast-forward to a few days before the wedding when we went in to pay the remaining balance and she told me that she broke one of her cardinal rules: never to book more than two cake deliveries on the same day. This still, for some reason, did not worry me because I was going to have this amazing wedding cake. She said she would be there by 4pm to deliver this cake and set it up. My ceremony started at 6, and they were just bringing it in a few minutes before it all began. I STILL wasn’t worried because the reception started at 7. I was overlooking these details because I was very nervous about my wedding, not about my totally awesome cake. Well I should’ve been more worried. When I finally saw it at dinner, my jaw dropped. I thought, This has to be a joke. Where’s my real cake? The inspiration picture was all white, 3 tiers, with white fondant petals cascading down the bottom. The tweeking I had her do(which she seemed more than capable of doing) was instead of doing the petals in white, do them as if it was a peacock feather. The eye of the peacock feather would be the center of the flower and each row of petals would be would be different colors, just like the feather of a peacock. The tiers were uneven and looked like they would topple over with the slightest touch. They looked unfinished and there were gaps that, had she taken the time, could’ve been piped with icing. The petals looked like individual flowers, not petals, and there were about three colors: blue, green, and PEACH! The blue and green were pastel instead of bold and vibrant. The flowers looked like barnacles hanging off the side of the cake. I was so embarrassed! The whole night I was thinking how I hoped that no one thought that this is what I had designed. The taste was decent, but I paid over $ 400 for this thing. If I didn’t care about the presentation I totally would’ve gone to Costco. Ugh! It gets me worked up all over again just thinking about it. I was so laidback about the whole process and just trusted this lady with one of the most important parts of my wedding. I never expected this. On a sidenote, I went to a wedding two weeks after mine(they used Branya’s as well) and while their’s was decorated slightly better, it was dry and pretty much tasteless.

Word to the wise… DONOTUSETHEMFORYOURWEDDINGCAKE! I went to 2 weddings 2 weeks apart that used them. The first cake was a complete disgrace! If I can figure out how to post a picture of just how hideous it was I will. Not to mention they were assembling the cake when all the guests were arriving and ceremony about to begin. It also looked like it was going to topple over because of how uneven it was. Just a side bar the owners delivered it and the husband wreaked of the strongest body odor! Ewwww second wedding was last night. The cake was late and so were the taffy apples that served as the seating cards! The mothers of the bride and groom had to help bag and tag the apples at the hall since they were sooo late. Why this wasn’t done prior to arrival is beyond me. I feel terrible that this happened to 2 amazing couples I hold near and dear, so don’t let it happen to you! Very unprofessional and very unskilled cake decorating. I think the patrons at the hobby lobby’s cake decorating classes could have done much better!

Purchased a cookie tray for christmas. When I got home I weighed it… 2 pounds 4ounces. I paid $ 35.00! The cookies were nothing special. The coconut macaroons or haystacks were so over done I could not chew them. There is no way I am serving them for christmas. I am very dissapointed. I will not go back.
