Nye’s Apple Barn

Great farm stand. Stopped for some freshly picked raspberries and cherries. Everything was wonderful. Also enjoyed talking to the farmer and hearing about the crops. Check this place out and support local business!

What a great fruit & vegetable stand. Everything looked so fresh. We’ll see when we eat it. We brought a lot home with us.

I love this place. I’ve been doing the u-​pick since I was a kid. Every year my parents would take me out of school for a day and we’d pick a car full of apples. Last fall I took my adughter for the first time. She loved it. Thanks for the faniliy tradition Nye’s. And Cheap too. Something like $ 10 bucks a half bushel. And a 2 hou drive from homes isnt bad for something so fun. Totally worth it!

The reason I came to the Apple barn was to do a U-​Pic. Unfortunately, the U-​Pic was closed at the time my boyfriend and I went this week. The lady at the store informed us that the crops have been a bit rough this year.
However, this did not deter me from taking a peak around the store. I probably could have spent a small fortune here had I had the money. The selection of items in their store is plentiful. They have homemade honey, salad dressings, jam, jellies, preserves, maple syrup, various fruit butters, salsa, etc. They also carry many mixes for cobbler, cornbread, muffins, cheesecakes, dips, etc. In addition, they do have a small fruit stand out front.
I ended up purchasing two bottles of salad dressing, a jar of jam, a cornbread mix, a cobbler mix, and a peach salsa. All of this was just under $ 20. Plus, the lady there gave us each a peach for the car ride back.
The sweetest thing that she did was recommend another U-​Pic since hers was closed. I thought that was very genuine that she recommended a different U-​Pic. She could have easily said «no there aren’t any, you have to purchase from our store front» but she didn’t.
If I am ever visiting New Buffalo again, I will DEFINITELY be sure to stop back at the Nye’s Apple Barn. The store front and staff are WONDERFUL!
