Miss Maldives fried chicken and dinner plates are great. This ain’t no fine dining joint. It’s comfort food. And hit or miss usually. The pizza is always good and fried chicken and fish is good also. The soups are usually on point. I grab my food and scarf it in the parking lot to the side. I love miss Matties cooking. I always ask her what I want. She always gets me straight. She is the jewel of Buehlers. Side note– I know the owners aren’t the Buehelers. I think they are more like the Patels. I don’t know when this happened, but I wish I had known the place was up for sale. Too bad it isnt American owned. It’s a great small town, divey type joint.

I went there because I read a Unilocal review saying their subs was good and another review said hers was over stuffed and thats what I was looking for… Well today I didn’t not get that sub. 1st off the food thats sitting out is uncovered and I wonder how long its been uncovered? The tuna did look semi-ok-to-eat but I didn’t want to risk it. 2nd, the guy was new. I asked for a chicken philly sub and he looked at me like I was crazy lol. He made a call, and he took a slice of flat frozen meat(that look like a thin slice of steak-ums) and put it on the grill. I asked do he know what he’s doing. He said yes, then he had to take people at the cash register(which he didn’t take the plastic gloves off during his many transactions) All i kept looking at was this uncovered food and flies flying around(yuck) I stood there for at least ten minutes smelling the thin slice of steak-um burning. Then I asked myself, «La’Moore, do you want to get sick?» I don’t so, I nicely told him I’m sorry I lost my appetite. But the town itself is cute and the outside. But inside by where they cook at creeps me out!

I like this place! It has what you want and gets the job done. Obviously, it isn’t a Safeway, but it isn’t supposed to be. It works for picking up what you need without having to drive all the way to Prince Frederick. I approve!

It is a nice little country store close to the place on the Chesapeake we vacation at.. I stopped in and got a sub, it was a little over stuffed for my taste. Another night I got the«chef’s salad», it was a big salad but nothing exciting. If you want some good food, try the fried chicken. Good old southern style, moist and crispy, even good cold. They do have really good ice cream and the liquor store sells moonshine. Kinda neat. Great place to pick up last minuet odds and ends.
