By signage, more expensive for lunch on weekends than weekdays. Was confused by sign stating ‘no shrimp or seafood’ included on buffet for lunch and $ 3.00 minimum(confused on what that is about?) Do they charge extra for shrimp and seafood for the lunch buffet or is it not available on the lunch buffet? I hope they do not charge more for shrimp/seafood at lunch if available. on later visit, asked what this meant, did not get an acceptable, understandable explanation of what ‘$ 3 minimum’, etc. meant???

Cleaner and better variety than other buffets. I like that they gave dim sum and sushi even if they are just OK quality.

Long time customer, been going there ever since it open . But there was two incident that make me question their safety standards: 1) a while back the city was doing some work on the water pipes near by, and the tap water had a yellowish tint look to it, it’s always advice not to use the water when this is happening.(afterwards we found out this was happening) On that day we had order some small lemonade for our kids and didn’t notice the color, because of the lemonade, BUT we also order plain water, that’s how we knew that somethings wasn’t right with the clarity of the water . We ask them for a different cup thinking it might have just been a bad fill, but the cup of water came back with a yellowish color . We told them about this and that the water is not clear it had a yellowish tint to it, but they just ignore it and kept serving people (We left and didn’t go back till 2 – 3 months later) 2) this happen recently: This time my wife had given our 4 year old girl some cook spinach and when she went to eat it, she pull out some MEATAL thing(the only way to describe it is like when you drill into metal and get that spiral metal shaving), once again we inform the waiter and he just took it and left. Maybe to the back to inform them, I don’t know BECAUSE, no one came back to apologize or to check on us ! Main point is NOMANAGER came to Apologize or check, business went on as normal, NOT a care in the world . This will be our LAST time going there, no matter if it is a decent restaurant, these safety issues was not address and brush aside . It’s only a matter of time till someone get ill and sue them

Considering its price, I would say it is a decent buffet with a wide variety of foods to choose from. The mongolian grill section is neat because you get to make your own dish with the meats and veggies you want, catered to your likes. We came at the end of lunch sothe dim sum section was practically empty and they stopped adding foods there so that was disappointing. Otherwise, great place to stuff yourself with tons of sushi, Chinese, salad, dimsum, and dessert! They also have soft serve ice cream available and drinks are served by the servers there.

A very large selection of food. Love the Mongolian grill, but not as good as Khan’s. Sushi was ok, but a bit flavorless. Overall, good food for the price and from the crowd that was there, a favorite for families.

A lot of variety to choose from. Like the sushi bar and dim sum section. They should step up with the vegetable and dessert selections.

Taking into consideration I could never before see myself giving an Asian buffet more than two stars, this shows I was somewhat impressed. Although, like every other time I go to a buffet I leave feeling too full and saddened by the obesity levels in this country… Ok, so the food was actually pretty good, except the beef pot stickers were horrid. The pricing, at 11 for a lunch, was ok but slightly on the high side. Overall, I wasn’t impressed to the point where I would run back or even consider going in the near future. The service… mediocre but not bad. I just wish they would smile. That’s all. Just a little smile. Even an eye twinkle.

Had heard this place was great, but we were not impressed. My family went here for a late dinner(8pm), and found the food was very old/cold. Worst of all, the sushi tasted very fishy/rotten. Staff was very rude, ignored us, had to go find someone for a refill. Place was also kind of dirty. This was a waste of money!

Great selection compared to other Asian buffets. The Mongolian grill is a great feature. Dinner rush can be crazy so plan ahead.

Excellent variety of food both Asian and Non(i.e. Ham, Fried Chicken, Fried Fish) and some items I would not try(pigs ears, pigs feet, eel, etc.) All for the most part fresh for a buffet but nothing really different than any other Asian buffet. I was not a fan of the boiled shrimp. It was overcooked and hard to peel. The hostess and waiter provided great service. The price at about $ 10 is slightly higher than other Asian buffets but is worth the price for having seafood and such a wide variety of items. That $ 10 amount also includes a drink.

I have since had beef at the buffet; very poor quality, fatty and tough. The Mongolian(do it yourself) beef is fine. The cashiers still look at you with a blank face when you enter. The Latino servers are nice, and keep asking if you want more soda; they also take away the old plates(so tip them $ 1– $ 2 bucks pp when you leave. Helpful hint: the only accept current printed coupons.

Simply a great asian style buffet. It’s got all the Chinese American food classics, sushi rolls, some dim sum, and a Mongolian grill. Above all, it’s pretty cheap! Only thing to watch out for is dinner rush. It is a pretty bad experience when this place gets busy, but I can’t fault the buffet for that.

Excellent ALL you can graze on food. I will note: Mongolian Grill was so under staffed /long long wait. .. avoid the trap there They do have a fair number of more authentic dishes — nice to see that — not for everyone needless to say but if you have travelled some of have family /friends who have shared these foods it is nice to give them a try. The buffet is plentiful and extensive — I hope to visit them on my next trip into the Twin Cities.

If you are looking for a buffet and know what comes with a buffet then this would be my top pick in the twin cities. Has all kinds of food from homemade breads, salad bar, 5 isles of any type of food you can imagine, hibachi, and decent sushi(for a buffet). I go over the lunch hour and you get seated within a few minutes, they take your drink order, and you are off to indulge in an all you can eat adventure! I would recommend trying the hibachi once, yes it will take a little longer but it is fresh!

Pretty bad sushi! The Chinese food was some of the worst I have had. It was definitely not worth the trip from my hotel. The only positive was the fish pond as you walk in.

My 4 stars is given based on the fact that it is a buffet :) 1. One of the better buffets in the Twin Cities area. There is huge selection and a good amount of people dining in every time when I was there, so the food tends to stay fresh. The atmosphere is pretty nice as well — there is a koi pond, probably one of the nicer looking buffets in the area. If you go on the weekends, expect a line of people, but it usually goes pretty fast. I waited for about 20 minutes on a Saturday night last time. Note that you will smell like Asian buffet when you are done eating, so dress accordingly! 2. My favorite dish on the buffet is the full shrimps with heads that are tossed in a wine sauce with jalapenos. The shrimps are decent sizes, and when it is cooked this way, it tastes very fresh, and I like the hint of a spicy kick from the jalapenos. The roast duck is also great for buffet quality, especially when it’s fresh! 3. There are plenty of other seafood dishes such as clams, sole fish, salmon, crawfish, and etc. The clams are also another one of my favorites — it’s always very fatty and fresh! I hate when I get a bit of sand when eating clams, but I haven’t encountered that here yet. 4. The service is a hit or miss — it doesn’t really matter much to me though as the only things the servers really do is to take away dirty plates and refill drinks. 5. One suggestion I would have is to increase the variety of desserts i.e. more ice cream flavors, etc.

The four stars is for the food only. The service would’ve been a 1.5 at best. We had a very difficult time with our«waitress» and she made it no secret that she was annoyed with us as well(typical asian service). She obliterated our drink orders then got annoyed when we repeated our orders and had her bring out the correct drinks. She should’ve been thrilled that even though she messed up, we still finished the drinks we didn’t ask for. Throughout the rest of the night she stood guard at our table and cleared away plates that we didn’t want cleared away. Each time we told her, «no, not that,» she grew increasingly annoyed. Common sense would tell you that if there are plates of shellfish remaining, people would want to keep additional plates for the shells. I mean, why is that something we even had to say out loud?! UGH. Anyway, this is a buffet so you will get what you pay for in terms of «service» or lack thereof. The food is great! Plenty of variety. The crawfish was excellent!

Walking in, it looked promising. The fish tanks are lovely, and the décor is definitely nicer than your average buffet. But the food was gnarley. I know that Chinese buffet food isn’t going to be the best in town, but I also know that decent Chinese buffets(like 98 Pounds in Bloomington) can be surprisingly fresh and a lot of fun. The food at Super Moon Buffet was so bad I wish I could have gotten my money back. The main problem was that absolutely everything that could be overcooked beyond palatability was, indeed, overcooked beyond palatability. Everything — the salmon with chili sauce, the General Tso’s chicken, the fried fish, even the sweet potatoes and the apple pie. In addition, some of the food was just bizarrely bad. The spring roll tasted like fried bread. The dumplings were just plain slimy and filled with unappetizing, chunked up gray pork. On the salad bar, the cole slaw had absolutely no flavor. And the sesame chicken — ugh! In addition to being completely overcooked, it was coated in a sauce that tasted like Kool-Aid and soap. Oh, and the«sushi.» Amidst the grayish, poorly wrapped rolls were these bizarre fried green rolls that were cut into huge slabs! The slabs were the size of 3 – 4 regular pieces of maki roll. I don’t know how you were even supposed to eat those things, and I’m glad I didn’t try. I suppose I should have tried the Mongolian BBQ, as it looked decent, but I won’t be back to find out. Please do yourself a favor and go to Wok in the Park or any of the other excellent Asian restaurants in the area.

The 5 stars relate to the restaurant’s ranking within the realm of Chinese buffets. You are not going to find a broader selection of good options many other places in the metro. They pretty much have it all here. I haven’t done the Mongolian grill part as I’ve always gotten plenty full off the regular buffet items and sushi bar. The sushi isn’t great, but it’s better than typical buffet sushi. It gets pretty busy the closer you get to noon, but the staff keeps everything stocked and fresh. The waitresses keep an eye on topping off your drinks and clearing dirty plates. Not the friendliest crew, but efficient. Overall, a great deal at $ 11 for a gut-stuffing lunch.
