My mom’s hairdresser has moved here from her previous place and at first, when I found out I was tagging along with her and that we weren’t going to Regis in the mall, I was a little worried. What would I do while she was getting her hair done? Would I even enjoy myself listening to the conversations around me? Well, when we got there, it was in the middle of a strip mall near a grocery store and some other things. I’m not one for situational aesthetics, but it honestly reminded me of a Great Clips or something like that. Not that there is anything wrong with places like that, I’ve gotten great hair cuts from plenty of places like them. Anyway, I was amazed at how the salon was set up. We were immediately greeted and while the stylist was working on someone at the time, we were reassured that it wouldn’t be long. Since it was so close to the holidays, it didn’t seem that there were a lot of people there getting their hair done. Probably a lot better than having a full house when people probably wanted to get to holiday parties with their family and friends. What was super nice was that Katie even had time to do my hair so I walked out of the salon feeling super beautiful all over again. A couple weeks later and I’m still feeling just as pretty as when I got it done. People are still complimenting me on my hair color and I couldn’t thank them enough. I just wish that I had someone closer who could do my hair like this whenever I need it. Back to the drawing board, I guess.
