Small license office just north of Weber Rd. It’s tiny and inconspicuous so drive slow, look hard and pull into the unpaved private parking lot. The office is nice and tidy with a full staff of ladies to accommodate your vehicle registration and drivers license needs. The process is quick and painless as long as you come prepared with all required documentation. There are a few seats available during wait time and reminders posted for all necessary paperwork. Drivers license renewal is currently $ 20 cash money(unless you don’t mind the $ 1.25 up-charge for debit/credit card usage). The fact that there’s an up-charge for electronic payment is a true and sad indication of just how ancient the entire Missouri DMV system is. Anywho, the reps are not super friendly or personable for that matter and could probably use a class or two on customer service, but whatever every branch serves a purpose. ~Christy

That number of stars for the early opening hours because there’s little to no waiting in the morning. Otherwise, ½ a star for the workers with stripper names and trash attitudes dressed like they’re ready for a Black Friday sale at the swap meet. This is what outsourcing state functions gets you.

I grew up in affton and have always used this license office. They get the job done and their hours of operation are better than other offices. The reason I gave them only one star is because they will not answer the phone. I tried calling many times on different occasions and no one answered the phone.

Kindest dmv. They talked to me like a human being. I will not go to any other dmv in the future if I can help it. They don’t answer their phone most of the time but I understand they are busy.

Found this place from Unilocalers. Affton’s little hidden gem. I have driven past this place many times and never realized it was there! The staff was very friendly and no line. I walked in and was done in less than 5 minutes. Bonus that they’re open until 2 on Saturdays!

Best DMV office in St Louis. They are friendly and very efficient. I don’t go often but I am in and out in less then 5 minutes when I do go. They are open from 8 – 2 on Saturdays and until 7 or 7:30 on weeknights.

I personally consider the owner of this place a jackoff because he or she laid off my 80 year old grandmother who still insists on working, but that is neither here nor there. Even with 80 year old women working the lines, this is one of the best license offices in the area. There are rarely lines and the employees are semi-friendly and able to speak English. It’s hidden near a vacuum cleaner repair shop by a Dairy Queen, but it’s worth it to find if you have to do what the State mandates every couple of years.

I have been to this Licensing office twice now and both times I have been incredibly pleased with the lack of lines and the friendly-for-government-agency service. I went in today to get my plates renewed and I was a month late in doing so, it was also the last of the month and mid-morning. Still, I was able to get out in under 5 minutes. Any other DMV and I would have been deep trouble. This is by far the best place in St. Louis to get your motor vehicle needs met!
