This is a nice yoga studio close to my house. It felt more like a gym than a yoga studio. It is in a strip mall, and it has the feel of it.

This is the only yoga studio I have ever been to, so I can’t compare it but I have been quite a few times now because I enjoy the people and the yoga. They have helped me learn a lot.

I have never done yoga before, so I’m not able to compare this studio to others. However, I will try to review it on its own merits. I have decided to take up yoga as part of an life routine that up until this point includes running a lot of miles, playing basketball and tennis, lifting some weights, and eating a lot of food. I didn’t take it up for inner peace or to find myself or anything like that but rather to give my body some challenges that will hopefully help me enjoy my other athletic pursuits — and life — for many pain-free years. Finding myself and inner peace could be just nice side effects — I’m completely open to that. Pricewise, I can’t say much(again, I don’t have any comparison), but I like that you can buy multi-class«cards» that are maintained in their system. It’s nice not to have to bring my waller or a card to scan every time. I have attended a few sessions at Agape now and have been pleased. Because my schedule hasn’t allowed me to be consistent as to the time and day, each of the ones I’ve been to have been very different. Some give me a better stretch and work out and make me sweat(which I really like) while others seem to involve mainly just laying around(which is not personally why I’m there). Being new, I don’t understand the names of the classes, and I don’t think the descriptions on the website are extremely helpful. But the instructors are always friendly and welcoming, and they don’t seem to care that this big guy who is not very good with all the«positions» is bring down the average skil level of their classes. The time they spend individually with the people in the class is dependent upon the size of the class, so obviously the smaller classes seem better to me. Luckily, though, there seem to be enough class options that everyone should be able to find one to fit their needs. I would definitely check out the website to see what all is offered. It seems like they add new ones often, which I hope they will do — one for beginners only would have been nice, and I also think one for just guys would be beneficial too. Overall, this studio seems nice, and I’m eager to see where it takes me!
