Bring a book, because if you’re there for an eye exam, it’s going to take at least two hours. And I’m not being hyperbolic –that has been my experience in 10+ years of going there. Woohoo for new vision insurance and finally being able to switch eye care providers.

I’m actually shocked to see a positive review on this place. From the minute I stepped in, all I heard and saw was quite frankly a little shocking. I talked to the 2 young girls at the desk about my appointment which was lost, even though I talked to someone 2 days prior confirming my appt… on Watson Rd. They openly admitted«Wow, this has just been happening so much lately». Awesome. They proceeded to ask me to say and spell my name, literally 10 times in a matter of 2 minutes. Even though they had me pulled up from the other location I had visited 10 years ago. I finally looked at them and said, I have told you both my name several times, and it’s not a hard name… It’s Megan. Please pay attention or go home. Then while I was filling out my paperwork, I witnessed another woman obviously waiting for a follow up so she could leave, and an employee came in and started arguing with her… Just arguing with her. The poor woman obviously didn’t know what was going on and needed someone to explain how it worked, and instead the employee gave her a big attitude and acted as if she was stupid for now knowing. Let’s fast forward into my appt. A small woman walks out of somewhere and calls my name. I can’t see her and have no idea where she is. She doesn’t come to get me, doesn’t say hi, just walks back into a room and I have to kind of wander around looking for who called me. The place is big and set up terribly, so thanks for being a dick. Oh and apparently, she’s the new management. THEN, we get into the room and she proceeds to complain about how no one have her the right paperwork, «this is just great», and«I’m so sick of this» she said as she blew her breath and left the room… Do I really need to explain how u professional this is? Especially for a «manager». From the minute I walked in, I’ve heard literally every single one of the employees complaining loudly about something. I wish I could leave but my significant other took the car. The rest of the appt. got slightly better, but below average customer service at best. I was asked to upgrade to contacts that were twice as expensive, even though I told them the ones I have in are totally fine. I wasn’t offered the trial, just to buy the boxes. The guy who gave me my new contacts did not open them up for me to put in(bc I’m blind without them), he just threw the boxes in front of me… thanks. I had been to another location in chesterfield 10 years ago, and my experience was nothing like this. I will absolutely never go back to this location and would recommend looking elsewhere.

I purchased a plan for $ 99 for 3 Doctor’s eye exams from America’s Best. I contacted America’s Best on 9÷20÷13 to set up the 2nd appointment in my 3 appointment plan, but the Associate told me that my plan had expired. This was news to me because I was told at time of purchase that I would receive THREE Doctor’s eye exams for $ 99. I only received 1(ONE) Doctor’s eye exam for this high price. I was never told my plan would expire. This was very shocking news to me. I also asked the Associate to mail my prescription that was given to me at my FIRST Doctor’s eye exam. She stated she would, but I still have not received my prescription. I called again today. The Associate on the line told me it takes 2 weeks for handled mail to be received(even in the same city). I requested, again, for my prescription to be mailed to me. The Associate rudely stated that they don’t usually mail prescriptions. By the way, the law states that I am legally able to get my medical records mailed to me. I asked for a manager to call me back because I wanted to ensure I would receive my medical records. Beth, the Manager, told me at 5:45 p.m. on 9÷25÷13 that she WOULDNOTHONOR my prepaid $ 99 plan for THREE Doctor’s eye exams. She also stated she WOULDNOT offer me, the paying customer, anything in return. America’s Best took my money, but gave me nothing in return — NOREFUND, NOEXCHANGE. I told Beth that my Dentist and my Doctor give reminders of appointments. I NEVER received any reminders that I needed to come in for my remaining appointments. I would think that this would be required, especially if they would deny my prepaid services on a certain date. I’m willing to also contact the American Optometric Association. This is the WORST Customer Service I’ve ever received in my life, especially for something I paid upfront and DIDNOT receive. THISCOMPANYREFUSEDTOGIVEMECOPYOFMYCONTACTSPRESCRIPTION.

Every member of the staff was super-helpful when I needed them, but they also let me browse and try on frames by myself without getting in the way. I dislike those places where you have to get a salesperson for every frame you want to try. I was impressed with the way-cool selection of frames at this location — more fashionable than I expected and lots of designers. I got some awesome specs and found a funky pair of clearance frames which they turned into sunglasses for me. With their discount, it was cheaper for me to pay their price than to use my vision insurance. Bonus!

My daughter actually sees a specialist for her eyes, but we decided to try America’s Best for getting her glasses. Once they came in we took them to her eye doc so he could see if the prescription was right. He was surprised. Her prescription was exactly right! He was impressed! And we were incredibly happy! We had been paying $ 300 for glasses for her and she would outgrow them in a year. We paid $ 90 and got two pairs AND they are scratch resistant! I get my glasses and eye exams there now too! I highly recommend them to anyone!
