Too freaking cold in this restaurant. Nothing can stay warm. That being said, i had pepper crusted sirloin and mom had shrimp cavatatti something and both are delicious even if getting cold really fast.

The car side to go service is awful. We purposely gave them an extra ten minutes and they still were not ready. We waited another ten minutes in the parking lot. If you’re going to be that slow we might as well just come in and I eat or order pizza or chinese, at least we would be waiting at home.

We ordered a pick up order total $ 51. We got two riblett basket and crosscut rib basket. They are suppose to come with fries and slaw. It came with just fries, no slaw which is a part of the meal no forks, spoons ect… And also all cold and we are only a mile away so still should of been hot. And the cross ribs were dry had no sauce no flavor(I’ve posted a pic) I just sooo disappointed with this experience. We did get a gift card but worst experience with Applebee’s and it’s usually good.

Every time I go to Applebee’s I always get the 4 Cheese Honey Chicken Macaroni. It is delicious and will quickly melt in your mouth. The honey makes it taste really sweet and the crispy chicken also adds great flavor. The appetizer sampler is pretty big, perfect for a 4 – 5 people. Great variety and decent pricing. Me and a friend were splitting the appetizer sampler, turns out we both were full from it before the entrees came out! Service was good. Waiter always checked on us to make sure everything was ok. By the way Applebee’s is more like a sports area with a bunch of TV’s and sport decorations all over with a bar.

Accurately, put by many of the other reviewers; expectation is key. On the low end I expect the food to be decent and service as expecting of a food chain. On the higher end I am a snob for service which and practically make any experience worthwhile and even worth returning. In this particular visit, I was having a few drinks to wind the evening down after dinner at a different location. Granted there is a free happy hour at the attached hotel, when you want a quality drink you go to the bar right??? Anyhow, the place was pretty full for dining but the bar was very quiet. There wasn’t much conversation from the bartender until I had stuck around for round two. I can appreciate his approach; I was working on emails and he did not attempt to engage until I had coleted my obvious devotion to my iphone. So, bottom line is that expectation is key. Expect to get a quiet and casual Enviornment along with a drink you can count on. If you want more, seek the obvious.

I visited here really late, around 11PM so I was concerned about getting food since sometimes the food is not so good at restaurants at the end of the night. I noticed on the door that they were open until 1AM. I got the club sandwich with mashed potatoes and it was really good. The server was nice and I didn’t have any issues. There were actually a lot of people there, I think it helps that it is connected to a hotel. They had pretty good looking specials, ½ off a lot of the appetizers and some drink specials during happy hour and also 9:30PM to close so I will probably come back sometime to try that out.

We walked in and asked about the only open but not cleaned booth in the bar. The«host» sighed and said it needed bussed. Yes I can see that. He sighed again and said ok… wait and I will take care of it. It took this guy over 10 minutes to bus one table. He could have gone faster if he wasn’t eating while in the kitchen. Every time he came out to get one glass his mouth was stuffed like a chipmunk. Gross. Once seated we sat there a good 10 minutes waiting for our server. When he arrived we asked about their late night happy hour(9:30-close) thinking he would give us a menu. Nope. He told us the drink prices, which didn’t sound happy hour priced to me, and took our order and left without telling us about the food. When we asked about the food special, he said it was different appetizers. If we told him what we wanted he would tell us the price. What is this a game show? The food was fine, nothing special. If you’re staying next door at the Drury, as I was, then here you go. If you aren’t tired and places are still open, drive down the block and find another chain to go to. I hope it’s one with much better service.

The thing about Applebees is you can go to any location in any city in any state and they’re all exactly the same. The food is the same, the décor is generally the same and the drinks are the same. All that sets then a part is the people who work there. This Applebees is no different however, the real treat here is Maddie who tends bar on Monday and Tuesday. She is a sweetheart and makes your visit fun. As a frequent traveler it’s nice to come to a place and be greeted with genuine warmth and friendliness and for that reason I can’t recommend this location enough. If you me in the mood for some American comfort food stop by Applebees in Creve Coure, sit at the bar and let Maddie take care of you.

I’m boycotting all Applebee’s for firing that poor girl… That disgusting woman got what she deserved and should be embarrassed !!! I used to eat there all the time but no more!

Sometimes I feel that Kitchen Nightmares should visit the large chains. I don’t want to see how dirty the dinnerware(thing that holds the sizzling plate) is. It is dirty and it probably has never been cleaned or wiped down or anything. You can tell that whatever is caked on it is old because it is dried on. I also don’t really like that even when the restaurant is not busy at all(barely any customers inside) and the service is very slow(even for a refill) but so fast to deliver the check.

Why so much hatred for Applebee’s? This past Sunday after attending service, some church friends and I went to another restaurant to finish the rest of the Bears v. Packers game(I’m a Bears fan). Much to our dismay the other restaurant was PACKED(no pun intended). So as an alternative, we went to Applebee’s and finished the game there. Sadly the Bears lost. But on a bright note, the service was very good and the food was not bad at all either. I had the Cowboy burger, which has bacon, bbq, those fried onion thingies and a burger that they’ll cook to medium-rare(I don’t like places that tell you they have to cook well-done). That, with fries to boot, and you’ve got a good meal. The only downside is that they only serve Pepsi products. I’m a big Diet-Coke fan. They do have Dr. Pepper, but no Diet Dr. Pepper. There’s a half-off appetizer deal on Thursdays if you buy any drink for those of you looking to save some cash.

Fine dining at it’s best, folks. Okay, not true. Sometimes I loathe myself for even setting foot into an Applebee’s. But what can I say? I’ve never had a terrible experience at an Applebee’s. Growing up near Eureka, it was one of the only restaurants you COULD count on for consistent food. Sure, it isn’t gourmet. Sure, it isn’t healthy or fancy. But, whatever. If you’re in the mood for some mozzerella sticks or boneless wings, let’s assume you aren’t looking for anything fancy to begin with. Am I right? Once thing I can say is that my husband worked as a line cook when he was in college for Applebee’s. For some reason, it gives me a certain sense of security that he’ll still eat there after having worked«behind the scenes.» At least you know nothing TOO gross is going on in the kitchen. I enjoy their Fajita Chicken Rollup which is good because it actually did take me awhile to find something I liked at Applebee’s. If they ever take it off the menu, I’ll probably just go down the street to Friday’s or Ruby Tuesdays or Chili’s. Who can even tell the difference anymore?

Whenever I go somewhere to eat I set my expectations accordingly. If it’s a 5 star steakhouse, I expect to be waited on hand and foot. When going to a dive I expect the prices to be dirt cheap to make up for everything else. So if I hit a chain restaurant for food I expect it to be decent. Not great or sub-par just decent like the typical food you get at these establishments. Seems I was setting my sights too high with this place because I didn’t even get that. I was too tired from flying in the night before, so I decided to check out the restaurant attached to my hotel. Yes, I know that’s the epitome of lazy, but I was no in the mood to brave traffic in search of sustenance. I walked in before 5pm which appeared to be a slow time for them. Barely anyone was there and the staff outnumbered the patrons 2-to-1. I sat at the bar expecting your typical chit chat, but didn’t even get that. Instead I received a forced smile and a «I don’t want to be here» attitude. Hunger overrode my better judgment and I got a menu. Surprised by the healthier selections, I picked the California Shrimp salad which sounded halfway decent. I have to admit they were quick getting it out to me, but then again there was NOONE in the restaurant so that’s not an accomplishment. For those unfamiliar with this salad one of its features is avocado. Black lumps that looked vaguely like vegetable matter was what appeared on my plate. I ate everything else out of desperation, pushing the horrid looking pieces to one corner. When the bartender came back and asked about the meal I told her the avocado looked pretty foul. She just responded with«that’s because they’re not ripe but I eat them anyways» and took my plate. Sorry, but avocado is supposed to be yellow and green, not blackish in any way shape or form. The entire staff was more preoccupied with hanging out, shooting the shit and waiting for more business to come in than taking care of the few patrons they had. If I could give this place zero stars I would. With a hotel attached to the damn thing you think they’d be raking it in having a built in customer base, but with service like that it’s no surprise the place is a ghost town.
