Beware. Dr. Avery is super, lovely person, his assistant is great. Getting an appointment is almost impossible, if you are actually sick. If you want a doctor you can see when you need them, this is not the doctor to pick.

Just had my first visit with Dr. Avery and he was fabulous! I haven’t had a general practitioner for years since I’m generally healthy, but thought it would be prudent to find one in case I do get sick and need a doctor asap. I had to book about a month and a half in advance. His office is in the CWE and the building has their own private (and free!) parking lot. The wait time to actually see the doc was pretty average, but the nurse I dealt with and the lab tech were super friendly, which is not always the case in doctors offices.
Besides being really nice, Dr. Avery actually talked to me get to know me. The actual physical was pretty basic — ears, eyes, heartbeat. He more stressed the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Included in the physical was a cholesterol test. And that took a lot longer. The lab is downstairs and there was only one lab tech so I had to wait quite a while, but once she called me I was in and out in a flash. The medical building itself is a bit rundown.
I was referred to Dr. Avery by both my husband and father-​in-​law and I’d definitely recommend him to anyone needing a general doctor.
