Wow wow wow wow! I have never been here before, I guess because I was never in the market for… cargo? They carry a lot of adorable home décor stuff. On the pricey side, but quality stuff. Really great selection and friendly people working there. Don’t miss this place if you are on South Grand!

This is a great addition to South Grand! On one of our recent beautiful summer evenings, we enjoyed dinner and a walk down Grand. We went in here to check it out and were more than surprised at their offerings. The shop has more than just furniture. But the furniture, oh how beautiful! And the prices were very reasonable for the quality. There is also home décor items, jewelry, and accessories. All beautiful and well priced. I also loved that they had some small gifts that were specific to St. Louis. There’s a makeup case with STL street signs that I’m dying for! We left with some amazing soy candles that have kept our house smelling like Bali! We will definitely be back. It’s great to know I can run down the block when I need a quick gift.

Stopped in here by chance one day on my way to Cheap Trx since I had time to kill. Such a cute shop with all sorts of wonderful things from Indonesia. There was beautifully painted furniture, many made from wood reclaimed from fishing boats. Wonderful silk scarves, beaded jewelry, purses, soy candles… it just goes on and on. This would be a perfect place to come and get a gift for someone or a gift certificate so they can come themselves. I ended up getting a pendant type light that had fish on it and some earrings. I later came back again and bought a huge piece that was made of palm tree leaves all in a circle like a sun with a mirror in the middle.(See photo) The owner here is extremely friendly and helpful w/o being pushy. He even carried my purchase out to my car parked at the end of the block. I added a lot of photos of everything so you can see how cool this shop is. Prices for everyone. Highly recommend!

How did I not know about this place??? And how come it does not come up on Unilocal?! Bali opened up apparently in May 2012. It’s right across the street from Meskerem and Upcycle Exchange on S. Grand. A friend and I were doing a South Grand crawl today because she had just moved back to the area and wanted to hit some of her favorites, plus some new ones. As we were leaving Upcycle, I saw this store across the street and since we’d never been in there, we decided to check it out. This store is amazing. Like you could buy me anything in this store, and I would love you forever kind of amazing. It’s basically a store that has unique handmade furniture, gifts and jewelry from Indonesia. Two guys own this gem, and they are super hands on as one was behind the counter today. I was asking him about some of the merchandise, and he was just giving me all this background and ideas about utilization. There’s a lot of stuff that could be used as home décor especially these really really neat big dried plant leaves that are strung up to kinda resemble a tier of swings(I am totally not describing this well.). I really thought they were little swings, but the owner was telling me that people were buying them and hanging them up in bathrooms to use as towel holders or in the kitchen for wine holders. There’s jewelry and hair stuff, next to the silkiest scarves ever. There are sarongs and gauzy beachwear covers… along with woolen hats and thick lovely mittens. There are carefully carved wood dishes, artwork, and quilts. It’s just a conglomerate of some really neat stuff. As we were browsing, I was really disappointed that the holidays are over… because I found quite a few things that I would have loved to get for my friends. I think I might have found my one-stop shop for this year! I guess they have home design services also, and with how their store wares are displayed, I’m not surprised at all!
