Terrible shame, the young lady that just waited on us was so rude! Her disrespectful attitude came through loud and clear, with her lack of engagement towards us as customers. She should really just go back to bed and wake up on the other side! No service with a smile here!

Very courteous staff — went out there to help me — not your typical airport employee!

One of the worst excuses for airport food I’ve experienced in 15 years of professional travel. Casual disregard for anything looking like a customer. Almost total unfamiliarity with menu from employees. When they finish talking to themselves, they get around to you. Shriveled ham croissant and related fare. Typical over priced.

Brioche Doree. French name, must be fancy. It almost seems like anything written in French makes it just a little more appealing/fancy for me. It’s kind of like when people put racing stripes on their car. Those stripes are supposed to add like 20hp per stripe right? Anyways, what I’m trying to get at is, I judged a book by it’s cover. Hungry, French deli, Food, Want. Those were the thoughts running through my mind when I saw the place. My wife and I ended up splitting a turkey, brie, and green apple sandwich. Which was actually pretty good, I wouldn’t mind having another one of those. What’s knocking down a star for me is the price and the service. The sandwich was about $ 10 which was a little pricey, and the staff acted as though we were bothering them when we ordered our sandwich. Though it was good, not sure I would come back for a $ 10 sandwich. I may just have to stick with some cheaper fast food.

Sad to say, but this is the best place at the A Gates to eat. High priced sandwiches, disinterested staff, just now seeing customers gathering at the register while 2 of the staff are carrying on a personal conversation. I travel frequently though more airports than I can count, and the STL Airport is one of the worst on food quality and customer service: why is that ? Of course, you could venture to the Budweiser Tavern a few steps away and have even worse quality food and the same customer«service»…such a shame for a city as large as STL to have these airport problems.

After a long 7am flight ride, I was super excited to find this French named coffee place. BUT was immediately disappointed after taking a sip of their regular cup of joe. I will dare to try their breakfast muffin or one of their sandwiches next time I land at this airport.

This is the kind of place that only can exist in the ratified air found on the other side of the TSA security screening area. You know, that special place where you are asked to suspend disbelief and accept that a $ 2 bottle of water on the outside can somehow cost $ 5 in here. This is NOT the place you want to have a meal while travelling! The staff is rude and lacks the ability to answer questions. Not complex questions like«what are differential equations?» … simple questions like«how much does this bottle of water cost?» I ordered the turkey and brie with apple. I asked for dijon mustard so the guy behind the counter pointed to the condiment station and told me it was over there. I paid for my meal($ 12.5 for the sandwich and their cheapest bottle of water) before reaching the condiment station and realizing there was no dijon to be had. I asked the guy at the register and he gave me a blank stare. I asked him to ask so. Eine else and he turned to the girl behind him(also behind the counter) and she told me, with her mouth full of food, that was the only mustard they had. Dijon was listed an an ingredient for a different sandwich so I asked for some of that. Naturally, those are made elsewhere. Other gripes… prices aren’t displayed, menu is not posted and the staff is rude.

Gosh that Turkey, Brie and Green Apple sandwich was DELICIOUS! I want another one right now! Just thinking of it makes my mouth water. One thin slice of Turkey, a lil slice of apple and a thin slice of Brie, who would have thought I would have been satisfied? SOGOOD! Just beware, the sandwich you see by the glass is NOT the sandwich you are going to get. The one by the class had a ¼″ thick slice of brie but the one I received in hand was only 1/8″ thick. Still great though! Staff very nice :)

I’ve had a lot of airport food in my day and I am a little puzzled as to the negative reviews on this place. The sandwich options are actually really nice. You get a long beautiful baguette and they toast it up for you. What more could you want while you’re stuck waiting around for an hour? I got the turkey, apple, and brie cheese baguette and it was delicious. I almost got the caprese, cause lord knows you can’t go wrong with mozzarella, but decided to expand. All of the other options looked good too, but as noted in some other reviews, there are indeed not a whole lot of options for the veggie lovers of the world. The employees were all polite, but more than that, they were actually quite jubilant and I think that is a miracle for any airport employee. The four stars option on Unilocal denotes«Yay! I’m a fan.» and in a terminal of limited options, I was impressed by Brioche Doree.

It’s one of the best options at the airport. I end up going here every time I fly through Lambert, but mainly because options are sparse in the old St. Louis airport. The sandwiches are good, and can be warmed for your preference. The staff is usually friendly and willing to give refills on sodas. The prices are high, as can be expected, but it’s the airport so you kinda ignore that. The pastries are a bit dry for my taste, I usually keep it simple with a sandwich and a soda.

Concourse A has 3 restaurants that serve pastries; here, starbucks and dunkin’. Here you get a big hunk of bread — sourdough like but not sourdough — and some filling for a sandwich. Get a gallon of water with it because the bread will dry you out. Hint. This concourse would make a killing with these 2 simple items — hot dogs and slices of pizza.

I just witnessed the absolute RUDEST interaction with a customer while waiting in line for food. The gal who worked here had no patience for a foreign customer. Each time he asked a question about food, price or ingredients, she rolled her eyes at him and gave him loud, rude answers. My feelings were hurt for him and I’m sad to think he might be left with a terrible impression of people in St Louis. I know I am. I helped the man with his order myself and got my order and left. Just awful.

In an airport full of long security lines, dirty bathrooms, and crowded gates, I wasn’t expecting much on the food side of things either. Needing something more substantial to eat and some caffeine before my 7am flight, the beautifully lit pastry case at Brioche Doree caught my eye. Combined with the 20 person deep lines at Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks, it seemed like the perfect spot to get a little sustenance. Sadly, the offerings here lived up to my low expectations of this airport. The chocolate croissant, rather than being flaky and buttery, was like a cold brick of flattened pastry. The coffee, while reasonably priced by airport standards, was weak and flavorless. While they had fresh half and half and milk in pitchers, the only sweetener options they had were sugar and sweet & lo, so if you’re a Splenda user, you’re out of luck here.

One of the best options in an airport devoid of options. Good seating.

There are not many places to choose from in the Delta gates of STL This place was right there. Not a huge selection and almost nothing for veggie lovers… Good seating options though, that gives it another star.
