I attended First Friday Gallery night a few weeks ago and stumbled upon Bruno David Gallery! What a great space with such unique artwork. Upon arriving my friend and I walked in and noticed that all the people from gallery night were obviously here as well. There must have been 50 people in the front room alone! As I began browsing I saw such unique pieces of artwork and caught myself staring at some for what felt like hours. I was honestly lost in his artwork! We made our way through the gallery discovering pieces of art on every wall. The vibe was so casual and the crowd was just great. I really enjoyed the artwork I saw as well as the interactions I had with some of the crowd. I know I want to go back another day when it isn’t so crowded so that I can explore the gallery again.

If you find yourself in St. Louis looking for some culture and something to do on a random afternoon you have to stop be the Bruno David Gallery! The second you walk in you will feel as though you are in some cosmopolitan city and you won’t want to leave. It is a gorgeous gallery with such a wide range of exhibits. Bruno(gallery owner) is more than accommodating and always willing to explain certain pieces but knows exactly when to leave you alone and let you wander and see things for yourself. Definitely a must if you are in St. Louis!

The Bruno David Gallery is a recent find for me, and I cannot stop raving about it… therefore I felt the need to Unilocal about it. This gallery displays art from some of the world’s top artists that you’ve never heard of, but should have heard of. I recently saw the Elaine Blatt exhibit and was completely taken away with her work. The gallery itself it conducive for both leisurely strolling and for intense studying. The man here was exceedingly friendly, but left me to my own devices so that I was able to truly enjoy and take in the art surrounding me. This is a gallery that will leave you to explore so that you can truly get in touch with the pieces, and they do not insult you by attempting to explain what you are looking at. He was happy to answer the questions that I had, and my overall experience was high above that of most galleries I’ve been to. I hope the Bruno David gallery remains a fixture in our city.

I came here once with my friend in the middle of the day once, just to check the place out. Bruno couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating as we walked around, gawking at all the eclectic art he had on hand. There was art from someone famous, whose name escapes me. My friend was very impressed. I like the rather sparse look of the place. Not too much going on, which allows you to really focus on what’s being showcased.
